@Snowie We cannot control the actions/reactions of others nor can we expect any understanding, empathy or belief from them. It hurts immensely when it is someone so close to us Hon but you know the truth ...your mother is in denial and that may never change. Making your way forward from here has to be done without her because that constant opposition to what you know is true will only wear away at you. I am so very sorry that she cannot accept nor believe you Snowie - that is heartwrenching ...especially with how courageous you have been in telling her. Lean on those that you have in your corner, those that not only believe you but accept you as all that you are because all that you are is the most amazing woman, most courageous women and one with strength in spades - that is how we see you and your mother is missing out not seeing that too

@Zoe7 you know me so well hun. It is hard when she lives with us (independently) that this type of behaviour is a constant daily battle. So for now I will just do some self care tonight I think.

Yeah that does make it exceptionally hard @Snowie I know she also picks her times when you are alone too to confront you ...that is not okay Hon. It makes me wonder also what she does/did know and how much she is covering for your brother. That kind of deceitful behaviour would raise more questions for me alongside the hurt and pain that her constant denial ellicit. I am certainly not trying to put ideas in your head as I am sure you have questioned these things for yourself - especially with how adamant she is that your brother has done nothing wrong as she is totally on his side - it is disgraceful in my opinion that she cannot/wiil not believe you and even more hurtful that she has taken his side. It may be little comfort Hon but you have our support here and certainly our belief about what is actually the truth
