Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

I read your other post @Eve7 so no need to explain it again here.

That is a positive way to look at it hun.

Tomorrow is a brand new day and I hope it is better for you.

@Snowie

Thank you. I just want to be well and “normal” and I know you do too. I’m sure chocolate is better for you than antipsychotics lol

Re: My special place

@Eve7 Yes I want to be well and I guess that even though there are times I want to give up, I am showing myself and others that I do want to get 'better'. We wouldn't be in hospital and going through ECT if we didn't want to get better and improve our lives.

Sometimes I relate it to a marathon and not a sprint. There are times where we could give up, could stop the race, could quit but we persevere, we continue to fight however hard the journey is.

It is always easier to go through this with someone else, with supports around you, with people you can relate too.

@Snowie

Yes, you are so right. People rarely run marathons on their own. The winner often doesn’t break away until near the finish and it’s easier to run in a pack. The runners talk, share drinks and support each other.

i didn’t think of this as a marathon but it is so thank you.

I’m going to group tomorrow. What did you decide for the weekend?

Re: My special place

It's good that you are going to group tomorrow @Eve7

I was going to go to group in the morning and then will see my pdoc in the afternoon.

Weekend will be low key, I asked about going home but they want me to stay in hospital until at least session number 12, so that means a couple more weeks.
