Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

@Zoe7the work cover appt. will stress me out till I have an outcome. They can leave me as they are or stop work cover and stop paying me. If that happens I would have to go back to work and scared that I would be going back before I am ready. I know my brain is going to the "what if's", but it is hard not too.

Izzy is still in the bad books, she got out again today. She knows I am mad at her so is asleep on our bed. The little devil is an escape artist.

Re: My special place

I completely understand about the workcover thing @Snowie - it would stress me out too Hon. You can't go back to work in any capacity until your meds and side effects are sorted - I wouldn't have even considered it myself a few months ago when I was still having trouble with my meds. So I so get that feeling that maybe you will be told to go back before you are ready and that could be so detrimental to your health ongoing. All you can do is have faith that this workcover psych is able to see the ongoing effects the incident at school has had upon you and gives you more time. I am going to cross everything I can for you Hon and will be here for you along the way

Naughty Izzy the escape artist - she must know she has done something wrong if she has banished herself to the bedroom. Toby can't jump that high so there is no chance of him escaping ...and he stays inside most of the day anyway - he is way too spoilt lol

Re: My special place

Thanks @Zoe7, I knew you would understand especially about work. Now to try and put it in the back of my brain and forget about it!!

Re: My special place

I definitely understand about work @Snowie - it is so much harder for you though Hon - knowing the catalyst for where you are now is because of work There are things about work that are triggering for me but that is linked to my childhood and not something that I can avoid so I have to learn ways of dealing with it all. We often do PD at the primary school I went to and that brings back horrible memories - I have never dealt with that at all well but managed to somehow get through. The think is that is wouldn't matter now where the PD was as I associate some of those memories now with any PD - it becomes a vicious circle. Learning new skills and ways of dealing with things through DBT may help ...I suppose only time will tell. So although it is not the same I completely understand how those work related memories can be also clouded by other past memories. Gee we live in a tangled web Hon

Re: My special place

Just laying on the couch @Zoe7. My day turned to shite. Had a nap and had a bloody nightmare. Now all the other stuff has started up.

How has your day been?

Re: My special place

That is shite @Snowie - so feel for you Hon I think daytime nightmars are worse because they are so unexpected. I expect them at night - especially if I have been triggered or had a suer rough day. Here with you Hon

I was triggered at the pool - a bottomless person from the care home right in frontof me - he didn't know it was not ok but it certainly made me feel sick - took sometime to breath through it and settle down - I just didn't expect it

Picked myself up though - did my exercises (which actually helped) and then spent some time just floating and enjoying the water.

Had lunch and did some washing when I got home but it is raining again so it will stay in the basket for a bit longer - argh!
