My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

I hear you. Ups and downs are allowed. @Snowie 💛

Lack of sleep certainly makes things harder... what usually helps you to get rest?

I am really proud of you for sharing more. How did that feel in your body and how did she respond/support?

What do notice shifts after ECT? I am curious to learn more about how this helps you (if you feel like sharing!).

Here with you, lovely. 🫶

Re: My special place

Hi @AuntGlow

I have struggled for a long time with trying to get rest/sleep. It took quite awhile to find a good dose and combination of meds. I have no trouble getting to sleep, it's staying asleep and the falling back to sleep where I struggle the most. I do have lots of things in place that I try, it's just finding the right thing for that moment.

My psych is very supportive of anything I share. She knows I have trouble communicating.

When I do share, it does feel like a weight of me. I just have to learn to share more often.

I don't notice an instant shift after ECT. It's not like things instantly feel easier.

The ECT is more about keeping me from becoming really unwell and ending up back in hospital. Since having the ECT monthly, it is the longest time I've gone without being readmitted since my MH declined. My pdoc likes to call it 'maintenance ECT'. So I guess it doesn't 'fix' me, but keeps me a bit more stable.

Morning went ok. Took her up the street and then coffee.

Now on to my second load of washing and second coffee!

I hope you get no flooding hon. Sounds like you've had a lot of rain.

Re: My special place

just had my second coffee

did one load of washing

Re: My special place

Glad you don't have any flooding @Shaz51

You must live close to town if you can walk down to it.

Takes me about 10mins to get into town.

No plans for the afternoon sounds nice hon. Hopefully you can just take it easy.

Re: My special place

yes this house is on the main road through the town @Snowie

only takes 5 minutes walking

our other house was a long walk away and needed a car

and i cant drive so this house is good

Mr shaz says it is too noisy with the traffic going pass to school and hospital ect and people driving early to travel to work in other towns

soo everything has a fore and against

mr shaz has gone to be for the day

Re: My special place

I guess there is pros and cons to living in town @Shaz51

If it is easier for you to get around then hopefully that's a good thing.

Mr Shaz must need the rest, how has he been going?

More importantly, how have you been going?
