My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Anytime @AlwaysMyself

Even when I have chronic SI, I still appear to function. I drive, dress nicely, do my hair, have conversations with people, look after the house, do food shopping, cook, all the 'normal' things.

My pdoc has made the comment before about me looking fine and 'put together' more than most people are.

Unfortunately with the side effects, I wish I could give you an answer.

My TMS journey didn't go very well either.

My partner would much rather take 1 day every month, instead of me being in there for 4 weeks. It not only would disrupt him too, but effect my kids as well.

He doesn't get carers leave. Self employed so easy to take day of.

Good evening @Snowie

I am glad you were able to make it to the doctors and take care of yourself - I know how much effort it takes when we are feeling exhausted, so please remember this as a win!

It sounds like you're always very well-prepared, which is good. Have you had some rain?

I hope you hear something soon, it's always a little stressful waiting for communication, isn't it?

Hmm, I know there is a part of you that is resistant to the peer support line, but I do get the sense it could be a helpful interim support. 🤔

There is no pressure to answer, but I am curious about this little voice and what it is saying?

Evening @AuntGlow

My Dr is worried about my HR. Had to wear a monitor for 24hours. Guessing if anything was wrong she'd ring.

No rain yet and doesn't look like any is coming. Very dry where we are.

Is hard waiting for a phone call or even just an email. At least my pdoc is back Monday. Only a phone appt. but better than nothing. Hopefully that makes it a little easier waiting for my psych to come back from leave.

I know the peer support line would probably help and make it easier in waiting for my psych to return. It's just my own stupid voice, telling me others need it more than me, that I'm not worthy of any help, I should be able to deal with it myself.

I know it's silly, I know it's wrong, but for some reason I can't stop it.

Re: My special place

I am sure she would, but you are absolutely allowed to check-in around results. Is this something you'd be comfortable with? @Snowie

I will be keeping my fingers crossed for some rain. 💛

I am sure having some connection and support will help here (because you do deserve it).

It's not silly! Sometimes we have these thoughts and feelings - and often they come from something we have internalised along the way (but that doesn't make them true).

I wonder what it would be like to explore calling, even once? Just as an experiment. Maybe you could even talk about that feeling? I am sure they will resonate. 🥰

Re: My special place

Thanks @AuntGlow

My gp is usually good. She will ring quickly if anything is wrong. She has in the past. So not worried about her ringing or not. I guess in this case no news is good news.

I know many have the same thoughts and feelings and I'm not the odd one out. I have them when I go to ring Lifeline or SCBS. Taking that support away from someone who needs it more.

Even on here I struggle at times to say how I'm feeling. Don't want to let others down.

I could try calling once. I have the number, just have to pick up the phone. After the last few days, it probably would help.

Re: My special place

gah, I am so sorry to hear this @GezzaP, that sounds really painful. 😣

Do you ever find gentle mobility/movement helps?

Not you too!! @AlwaysMyself haha we can't win out here. 🥲 I am glad you have a chiro, that must be quite helpful.

Ah, I have been thinking about getting a shakti mat!! 🤩

Re: My special place

Nothing helps @AuntGlow . Go back to chiro tomorrow. Have been putting ice on back as he advised and sleeping with a pillow under my knees and with bent knees. At least the night time spasms have stopped.
