Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

@Eve7 I’m sorry your NRL team lost. The AFL grand final is all square at half time. Excellent game. I’m hoping Brisbane win. Did my back exercises and took some more painkillers.

It is a very close game @GezzaP Makes it more exciting.

What did you do your PhD in?

Re: My special place

I hope the pain relief helps @GezzaP I enjoyed the half time sprint with Gout Gout as starter. More entertaining than Snoop Dog!

Do you have much on for the rest of the weekend?

Re: My special place

@Snowie History - sport and the Cuban Revolution. Published a book on it with one of my examiners afterwards. I wrote a few articles on Mexico and Cuba and edited a book on Africa with a friend. Most of that stuff was published before I had late onset bipolar. Pleased Brisbane won. Pity it wasn’t close for the whole game. Getting really hungry. Thinking of having corn on the cob Mexican style and quesadillas. Need to do my back exercises again first.

@Eve7 No nothing on this weekend. Might go to women’s Crows game or watch it on kayo. Will go to chemist to get stop smoking tablets.

Re: My special place

I haven’t published much compared to some. But it is better than nothing. Haven’t been able to publish anything in years.

Re: My special place

@GezzaP as someone who hasn't published anything, I think even one thing is a huge accomplishment. Be proud of what you have done. You've done more than a lot of us will ever do.

Re: My special place

@Snowie Yes it is good to have some publications. Was think I might try to publish a short story I wrote in a Spanish exam.

I sat in on Spanish classes when I was writing my PhD. The staff were kind enough to correct my work. Had to learn Spanish to read stuff for my PhD. About 70 percent fluent now. Getting enough practice is hard though.
Have thought of teaching beginners Spanish for cash to bring in a little extra money. I’m on a modest super pension. It would give me something to do to. I am mostly a high functioning bipolar sufferer between episodes.

Have to find out if there’s a market for this.
