Yes Carlton had a shocking year @Snowie I have a neighbour who supports Carlton.

Went out to lunch today with Hubby and mum. It went ok.

She gave me a card. She tried to write in it, but I couldn't understand a word of what she had written. It was upsetting. Something we all take for granted, spelling and putting a sentence together.

I should have expected it. I had to write on both kids birthday cards for her.

@Snowie At least you got out today. All I managed was a quick trip to the shops and that was hard. Sorry to hear your mum couldn’t write. That is so sad. Wish I had a partner. Feeling very lonely especially as my sister won’t speak to me.

It sounds like despite you being there with your mum and knowing what's going on, seeing this visual representation of it was hard for you @Snowie

Even if you did expect it, it think that could still be difficult to see your mum struggling to communicate like that. You're right, is something that we do take for granted and I think it's understandable that this would catch you off guard

I'm lucky I have my hubby @GezzaP He helps me a lot.

In the past I was able to work it out, but this card was different.
