So after about an hour on the phone to her health fund I finally got approval (in writing) for mum's upcoming day surgery. They will try and screw you over any way possible to not have to pay for something. Said they sent out documents when she didn't receive anything. Said they called her when we have no proof of incoming calls. I think they ended up giving in because they knew I wasn't going to back down.

Managed to get onto her case manager too and she can also get free dinners that are frozen. All she has to do is heat them up. At least this way all she is using is a microwave and I don't have to worry about her leaving the stove or hot plates on.

So at least some good news finally. A few things I don't have to worry about now.

H will be away for at least another week so that is a bit of a bummer.

Thats my news for the day.

Dropped S of at school this morning and went up the street to do some shopping. Two phone calls later from mum and I ended up giving up and going home. Only got to one shop when I planned to try and start my xmas shopping.

By the time I got home she was crying and had gotten angry at herself. That anger was taken out on me of course.

Last night was a hard night. I couldn't control things.

It has all gotten too hard.

Arrrgh just had a shower and washed my hair, for about the first time in 2 weeks. The hair not the shower!!

Who was waiting for me as soon as I got out. Yep, mum needing something.

i hear how frustrating that is @Snowie are you able to get some space/time to yourself once mum's asleep? i sometimes wait till everyone's asleep and then grab a sweet snack and watch a nice movie or even just to journal. no disruptions, no responsibilities for a bit. you deserve your 'you' time.
