My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Sorry @creative_writer feel asleep mid talking.

D has got a lot of placements over the next four years. I think you can learn things out of a text book but the real learning is hands on.

I hope today goes ok for you hon.

@NatureLover 24 hours isn't long at all. Have you got many plans for today?

Visit went ok, just long. Glad it's over.

Re: My special place

@NatureLover how are you doing today 💖. Still feel heightened right now 😞

@Snowie no need to apologise. I sometimes disappear to when I fall asleep. I was about to go to bed soon too after your last message. Real learning is hands on for sure. I hope you are feeling better today 💖

Re: My special place

@creative_writer I am assuming it is very tiring for you to feel heightened all day.

What are you up to today?

Re: My special place

@Snowie I’m making lunch rn. I need to get some studying done, but I just don’t feel motivated. What about you, are you up to much today?

Re: My special place

It's hard to get motivated at times @creative_writer It's good that you are eating lunch. Sometimes eating is hard to do when we don't feel great.

I got to the supermarket this morning and just on the couch now. I just feel off. Nothing's happened, just one of those days I guess. Prn just increasing again.

Heard from the support worker. I get 12 visits. Not sure if it's worth it. Just get comfortable with them and used to them and they are gone.

Re: My special place

@Snowie I’ve had moments where I felt too weak to get up and eat, but it usually means I do get physically sick. I think I’ve mentioned to you how I need regular meals with migraines.

Getting to the supermarket is an achievement when you’re feeling low. I hope you do start to feel better soon, the PRN is always there if you need it. I hope you are able to discuss with your pdoc about needing more PRN lately.

I think short term support is still helpful. I have used short term support before like SANE guided service, HOPE (hospital outreach post-suicidal engagement) and I’m currently using efriend for peer support and only have five calls left. Though it can be hard when those support come to an end and for those of us with trauma it’s hard to feel safe during initial session. I don’t think giving it a go would hurt, but it’s really your choice

Re: My special place

Hi @Snowie , I've had the outreach service a few times and the first one was really helpful. We actually achieved a few things together so it was worth it even if only for 12 weeks. The next time I had it wasn't so crash hot but I'd suggest trying it if you want.

Re: My special place

Thanks @Eve7 @creative_writer

I'm going to go through with it and at least try it. I see them next Wed for the first time. I will keep an open mind.

Yes you have mentioned the regular meals to help with your migraines. I just seem to forget to eat and then it gets to 3 or 4 and realise I haven't had anything.
