Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Thanks for the support @NatureLover @Eve7 @Bow

Psych appt. went ok. Just spoke about everything that has happened in the last 5 weeks which was quite a list. At least she is caught up now. Have an appt. in a fortnight again so back to regular appointments.

Pdoc from hospital rang. Looks like ECT will go ahead this Friday morning. Will speak to my regular pdoc about how many more I will do. At least I can do them as an outpatient.

Have a gp appt. this afternoon and then my own pdoc next Monday. Both should have received a discharge summary so hopefully I don't have to repeat everything again.

Just sitting down with a cuppa and to have a rest. My brain has had enough for today!

I hope you all are having a good day. Am around for a bit if you need a chat.

Im glad your psych appt went ok @Snowie and that ECT is locked in for this week.

Sending lots of hope that you continue to improve 💜💜

Re: My special place

My gp hadn't got any discharge paperwork yet so had to go through everything again. Went through new meds, ECT sessions and how I am now. Finally got there.

Had another call from the hospital, just a follow up which was nice.

Thanks @Eve7, how are you going?

Re: My special place

It’s a pain when GPs don’t get the discharge summary @Snowie I’m sure you’re tired after going through everything.

I had an appointment with the hospital pdoc yesterday. I have to see her every 3 months to keep getting the nurse from hospital in the home. I wasn’t totally honest with her but I can’t see the point as my pdoc will be away for 6 weeks and the hospital pdoc will also be away for 4 of those weeks. I rely on them too much and then they go away.

I tried to get back into my psych but I’ll need a mental health plan from my GP for that.

Sorry to carry on, I’m just over it all and wondering why I just can’t climb up.

Re: My special place

Glad your psych appointment went ok @Snowie but very frustrating about the gp not getting your discharge summary. Do they give you a physical copy too?

@Eve7 sounds complicated for you. Sorry you’re not doing so ok. Go easy on yourself though.

Re: My special place

Very tired but these things need to be done. I am hoping that my pdoc has the discharge summary. I see him next Monday arvo.

Please don't be sorry @Eve7, I think it does us good if we have a place where we can just talk about things, especially when we can't do it with our supports.

That is a long time for them to be away hon and a long time without that support. If it was me I would be worried too. I don't think you rely on them too much, they are there to give us that support after all.

It would be good if you can see your psych especially whilst both the pdoc's are away. I know you have to have an appt. with your gp first, ss this something that can be organised? In saying that, it will probably be a wait to get into seeing the psych. Everything seems to have waiting lists these days.

Please know that we will be here for you too. I know it's not the same but it does help if we don't have to internalize everything. Having some sort of outlet is better than nothing.

Re: My special place

No they didn't give me a physical copy @Bow I only got out Saturday and Monday was a public holiday here, so I am thinking my gp might still get it. I just might not have given them long enough to send it to her.

How are you going?

Re: My special place

Thanks @Snowie it’s very kind of you to be so understanding.

My psych has offered to see me at 8am if there aren’t any appointments.

Re: My special place

You mean a lot to me @Eve7 I will always care about you.

It would be good if you can see your psych. Hopefully they can give you that extra support whilst the pdoc's are away.

Paperwork can be tedious @Snowie, I hope your GP gets it soon. I hope things continue to improve with you 🫂💖

Hi @Eve7 and @Bow how are you both?
