The problem I have @Eve7 is that I have enough self hatred without my psych adding to that. The thoughts are all too consuming and today has just made things worse.

I guess she thought she was trying to help me, to put some of that responsibility back onto me. To make me realise that the only person who can change myself is me. But with that comes a lot of pressure that I already put onto myself.

But at the same time she has just made me despise myself to the point where I don't really care what happens now.

Thanks anyway, I'm just going to go.

I agree with @Eve7 about the asthma, no-one blames me for mine.

I hope you feel able to tell your psych what the damaging result of her saying those things is.
