My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

Hi @Snowie

So sorry to hear you wanted to share but didn't . That's okay though. Don't be hard on yourself. Can you do a nice thing for yourself this afternoon?

hugs

Hanami

Re: My special place

Hey @Snowie came looking to see how your appointment went. I’m sorry it didn’t go as planned. Don’t be too hard on yourself for not showing her what you wrote down, it’s hard to be really vulnerable like that. Maybe next time?
It’s hard allowing others to come into our appointments. I found it really difficult letting my support worker come into my pdoc appointment. I couldn’t let her come into my psych appointment though. But letting family come in would be a whole nother level of hard! Those are my spaces. I’m sure you will do what is best for you.

Re: My special place

Hi @Snowie

Im sorry you couldn’t hand over your note. But that’s ok. Maybe you weren’t ready to share just yet. You went to your appointment so just being there would have been hard enough.

As for hubby coming in next time that would scare me. My CM comes to my Pdoc appointments and I’m kind of glad. She says things that I can not say. I am glad she supports me. But she does know everything. Im comfortable with opening up to her.

I hope you can be kind to yourself this evening. Just be gentle and if all you can do is sit on the lounge then that’s ok. You have had a big day.

Re: My special place

Hi @Snowie , I hope you've been able to be kind to yourself since your psych appt. Well done for even getting there as I know you didn't want to go.

I hope you are OK and coping...I know things are bad 😢🫂💙

Re: My special place

Thanks @NatureLover @Captain24 @Bow

I haven't told hubby yet about the next psych appointment. I really am weary of him coming in. He has been before, but quite awhile ago now. I am lucky he is so supportive yet I still struggle to tell him things. I doubt it would be any easier with my psych sitting there too.

You are right that it is my space. I almost feel that it would be violated.

I might just email my psych and just tell her that he is busy and can't come in.

Re: My special place

Hey @Snowie

Hoping today is going ok.

You are lucky that he is so supportive. If you’re not comfortable then you have to do what is right for you. If you would like him there to understand more that is your choice. If you would rather him not, I believe that is your choice as well.

Re: My special place

Thanks @Captain24

He has been to numerous pdoc appt's before but they are not as in depth as my psych appt's.

Not much sleep plus D's graduation night last night makes for a very tired Snowie!!

Wish I could post photo's of her in her graduation dress. She got 3 awards too. Very proud mumma here today.

How is your day going?

Re: My special place

Oh wow.. 3 awards you would be very

proud. @Snowie. How are you feeling with her graduating? It must be a scary time for you.

My Pdoc appts are really open. She will know pretty much everything that I have done and attempted to do.

I would love to see photos. They all look amazing dressed up. Sometimes I wish we could share but it’s for the best that we don’t. I think the anonymity is important and I like it!

Re: My special place

I'm happy she is graduating @Captain24 but feel old because she has finished school!!

Now onto uni for at least the next 4 years.

I think the anonymity is important on here too. I think it makes it easier to write about things at times.

I'm glad your pdoc appt's are very open. It does make it easier when our support team know everything that has happened and is happening.
