Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

It is really hard to get up and out of the house to go to work. I have found it impossibly hard this week @Snowie I’m not even looking forward to retirement and this makes my si hard to manage.

I hope you have a wonderful family time this weekend.

I'm sorry to hear that @Eve7 Trying to manage our SI can be so hard. Have you spoken to any of your supports about it? I wish I could tell you it gets easier, but I do understand those SI thoughts, especially when they are loud. Sometimes they can be relentless.

Tomorrow should be nice. Have booked in for lunch beforehand too.

Re: My special place

That might be a good idea @Eve7 Even getting their opinion on it might be worthwhile.

Please remember we are here for you too, if you need that extra help.

@Snowie @Eve7 Hang in there both of you. Glad to hear you got out Snowie. Eve well done on D. You should be proud of D and yourself.

I went to a winery for lunch with my sister and a friend. Unfortunately I had a relapse on my quit smoking effort after 50 hours of not smoking. I will try again. So very hard to give up.

Hi @Eve7
Sitting with you 💛
SI is really hard and I can hear its been hard to manage for you. Its great that you will reach out to pdoc next week.

How are you feeling tonight? What kind of ways are you taking care of yourself?

Re: My special place

@Eve7 Oh I know what you mean about getting up as with trying to stop smoking I don’t want to get out of bed and fight the habit. The important thing with retirement is to go for walks and go out for lunch a few days a week to get out of the house. I know this because I’m retired. I also like to read novels. I used to be a uni lecturer.

Re: My special place

Hello @fluffylight GezzaP here. Disappointed that I had a lapse in my quit smoking effort. Frustrated with myself. But will keep trying again when I run out of smokes.
