Something’s not right

My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

@Snowie Oh you couldn’t even go for a walk that’s a bummer. I’m much better and went for two walks today. Would have gone for another if my gardener/ cleaner hadn’t turned up. He is the one who smokes. I told him not to smoke in front of me.

Re: My special place

Yes @Bow hope you get to talk to D. @Snowie Try not to feel like a burden but I know what it is to feel like that. It’s so hard sometimes but hang in there. It will get better.

Re: My special place

@tyme It is now 28 hours since I had a smoke. It is said that it takes 72 hours for the body to get rid of nicotine I am now over a third of the way there. I am trying to keep busy. It was hard having a smoker in the house. I kept having urges to say fuck it let’s just go and buy some smokes but I resisted and he has gone now. Nicotine is very addictive and the habit is also strong but I’m getting there. One step at a time. At least my mood has improved despite my new stove refusing to light with the ignite button (I gave up and used matches). Will continue with my quit smoking effort thanks to all for the distraction.

Re: My special place

I’m alone too @Snowie I’m single so alone most of the time. I think that was one reason why I smoked so much. Now I’m on the stop smoking drugs and trying to quit. It is driving me quite crazy but I’m determined. Hang in there please I am thinking of you and so is everyone else on this forum.

Re: My special place

Good on you @GezzaP . We are here to support you. 72 hours - you can do it 🙂

My appointments with my psych are more 'catch up' appointments. It's great just to be able to give him an update on how good things have been.
