My special place

My special place

Well yesterday certainly threw everything off track. But thanks to some very thoughtful and kind people I was able to get threw it and continue.

I cannot say a lot about what happened as I am sure you all understand but need this support in place.

Things WILL be ok, just a lot to work out.

Psych visit yesterday sorted out some of the things and more things will be happening early next week.

I am sorry if I put anyone through any despair, but unfortunately what happened yesterday morning had to be done.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Re: My special place

@Snowie - Living on your own has distinct disadvantages. Like shifting furniture. It's either me, ahh or me. I did send out an SOS though, and someone came to help. @outlander yes, right shoulder is OK now. But I injured that 3years ago on the cruise line. This should get @Snowie laughing.

So I was running to an emergency on a passenger deck. It was a real emergency so our porter was also on his way up with the defibrillator. The ship's senior doctor was just ahead of me. I saw the porter coming out of a side door into the hallway, defibrillator in his left hand. That is, it's in the hallway. I'm yelling at him move out the way because I could not stop fast enough. There was no room to move. So I hit the machine like a rugby tackle, sailed over the top, arms outstretched to grab onto nothing and face planted the carpet. Doc looks back at me, says are you ok. I muffle err think so. But I have an emergency. So I get up, keep running and get to the scene. 3 months later I get a frozen shoulder. Super painful.

Yes @Snowie I'm very accident prone.

@outlanderunderstand hun

@Sans911you did just make me laugh I was picturing the whole thing in my head, you sailing over the top!! Not laughing about the frozen shoulder, that would be painful.

I am sure you have many funny stories like that. I might jinx myself but I am not really accident prone, even growing up, but my Son on the otherhand is!

Re: My special place

@outlander - I would say the same thing.

Yes, sleep pattern is the only thing that's working. And cutting back to half of one of the meds hasn't affected the amount of sleep but the weight gain has stopped. Now it would be nice to loose it. Most nights I sleep about 6hours or a bit more. Occasionally I awake once or twice during the night. And no more weird dreams or nightmares.

I'm still struggling with low energy levels. I've dropped 2days of walking the last 2 weeks mostly because of that. I make myself walk the other days because it makes me accountable and it's good for me.

Re: My special place

@outlander @Snowie —that frozen shoulder was horrid. I had surgery and six months off work with intensive physio. It's mostly OK now. Yes, I felt like super woman but sadly no cape. That cruise job was so intense. It was absolutely not a holiday. I worked incredibly hard and often very long hours. But I still miss it.

Does your son play sport @Snowie? And @outlander it's nice to hear that something made you and your Pop laugh. We all need to lighten our mood sometimes.

This is helping me too. I felt really awful before with a headache.

My two cats are being gay boys again. They're having a lick fest! I swear Jasper is gay. The way he sits on the other cat.

Re: My special place

haha @Sans911 I just laughed hard enough and woke the dog up!! I have this image of you at home with two gay cats!! Least they are getting on, better than fighting all the time!

I am glad this is helping you too.

My son does play sport but has had 3 operations and been in hospital a few times and he is only 10! The last time I felt like a bad mother. I took him to the doctors and they said he needed to go to the hospital. Took him there, they hooked him up to check on everything, alarm bells ringing and skipped the waiting room of 40 or so other kids! Spent the next two weeks in hospital.

The cruise ship job does sound exhausting but fun @Sans911, I am sure you meet lots of people on there

Re: My special place

my rabbits were like that @Sans911 it was shocking honestly. we were told they were all (3) female- one was a male and the others were female- but the girls were the worst- id have to pick them up and separate them literally. the male was soo chill and had no interest in them (so we thought till we had 2 pregnant females!)

im glad your sleep has improved and is helping you too and a bonus about the weird dreams too. i had a dream about us 3 the other day- was rather unusal but nothing bad- we were all actually out horse riding on one of my local trails- popped up mid ride and didnt even see the end of it lol.

did you work out what was causing your low energy?

Re: My special place

@outlander @Sans911 thanks for the distraction tonight, it helped more than you both realise. Calmed my thinking down a bit. Took my meds before and starting to feel them so thinking I might zonk out soon.

I hope you both get some rest tonight and tomorrow has some nice moments for you.

Good night my two sweet sis

@outlanderI know you wrote in your thread but will read it tomorrow when I am with it more

Re: My special place

I'm glad I made you laugh @Snowie. Tell Izzy I'm sorry. It's just that Jasper straddles the other cat by sitting on top of him. Legs splayed out either side. It's not normal! And he lucks the other cat's face the wrong way. My other cat looks at me sometimes like please make him go away.

Wow, sounds like your boy was quite unwell.

I just saw your next post already in my inbox so I'll stop here and say goodnight hun. I hope you sleep a bit better tonight. Take care 🤗
