Something’s not right

Life

Life

My lil boy is not well and it's times like this that I realise how alone we are. If I have to take him into the er I need to get my little girl up as well and try to manage one sleepy child and one sick child. Then the hospital gets grumpy because you can't have another child there but they can't make me leave because my lil boy has special needs and wouldn't let me go without him anyway . It's so hard to know what to do and how to manage everything on my own. And then there is so much else happening I don't feel safe to open the door and go out in the dark. This kind of living and hiding is so unfair on the kids. When is it ever going to get easier?!?

Hi @Jacques

Wow - Sounds like a great app, I am glad you have found it so helpful 🙂 Just wanted to jump in and say, we definitely encourage members to share with others when they find something that works well for them. That's what the Forums are all about - peer support. If you like, feel free to include your review of this app in the "What’s new: services, research, and technologies" section here. To clarify, moderators are only caution of 'advertisements' if they appear to be inappropriate or serving a commercial interest. Again, I'm so glad to hear you have found something that works for you! Good on you, @Jacques!

Re: Life

Hi @Former-Member, i am sorry the app was not what you expected, it does have space in the safety plan to add phone numbers of your doctor and psychologist, treating team, etc.

I will have a look at the actcompanion app, i know the feeling, i have not been able to read my new books now for a couple of weeks, i can only read a page at a time, so hard to concentrate.

I hope tonight is treating you well, you sounded so distressed late last night. i could not help but leave a message.

Re: Life

Thanks Jacques I do like the app and most of all I'm glad you find it helpful. i never turn down another tool/strategy to put in the coping box. Thanks for your help I'm so appreciative of it. I need to work on doing stuff to help me help myself a bit more. I'm a bit calmer tonight maybe will get some sleep tonight even :face_with_rolling_eyes: I don't know where I'd b without the support from here

Re: Life

Yes @Former-Member, i have downloaded most of the apps that their are for mental health, it is just that i found this one the most comprehensive. i had a look at the actcompanion app, it looks interesting too, very similar to this one, but this one is free.

Yes, i am the same, the more the marrier i say, have you tried colorfy, it is a smart phone mandala app, colouring in for adults, it has so many patterns, i use it often too.

No problem @Former-Member, i am happy to give back what you and others have given me, yes i think sometimes we are too hard on ourselves, blame ourselves for events out of our control, we just need to remember to take a step back every now and again and reassess the situation.

I am glad you are feeling a little better tonight, maybe you could do something nice for yourself, a hot chocolate or cup of herbal tea? maybe some nice handcream?

@Former-Member, i would not be alive without this forum, you and everyone else on here help me get through every day.

I do hope things work out for you @Former-Member, sometime life just is not fair, we just need to make our way through life as best we can.

Be kind to yourself.

Jacques

Re: Life

Dear @Jacques
I Hate the slowness of the Australian Government in change
For instance for @Former-Member
Rosie Batty

I apologise if this is triggering you but I don't want to be anything but proactive in this
Lj is our darling friend who is brave enough to keep on walking

I feel like Lj reminds me of a sweetheart who needs us to bring her little messages of love

Ide love to talk about something else :
My son was working today and he spends every day where he works making sure a certain autistic man gets the best service possible : he is manager of his section and today another worker was complaining about this certain Autistic man and my son says : other people' come here every day : why just focus on him ? Other workers tried to calm my son down and said : oh that's just him..... Just ignore him laughing at the Autistic man
But my son reported him.
I picked him up with @LittleBuddha tonight and he was telling us about it, I commented that we had spent some time with someone who told me he had Autism and no one ever spoke to him and after our conversation : he pulled out a snack for Arlo out of his backpack
My son then said that he was really glad that he reported this worker and I suggested he looked online at Sane about mindful Employers
