Niquas Notes

Niquas Notes

I thought I might try some 'journalling' . Just write a little blurb out each day, basically what I'm already doing . . . just giving it a name . . a title, I suppose? But to give it some 'umph' in my head I'm going to try & remember how to start a new thread & call it 'Niquas Notes' 🙂
It's not even 11.30am & I'm having a tomatoe & onion sandwich for lunch 🙂 I think I've been forgetting to 'get around' to a few meals lately. It's pretty good 🙂
I think I need to go into town today & check the post office, I may have a parcel to collect (evil ebay again!). I might get some meat while I'm in there (probably sausages ;)), I don't think I've had a lot of it lately - though I had Tuna in some fried rice the other night 🙂 Pretty sure I've got a couple of DVDs to collect from the library too 😉 {which means waiting until after 2pm at least as they close from 1-2pm for lunch} Today being Wednesday, it's an off-lead walk day, so I'll take the puppies along & drop into the local Forest on the way back home 🙂 I really enjoy that walk myself, it might be one I've done a million times, but that's sort of part of what I think I really enjoy about it?;)? & of the camp trips, beach walks & places that I have been going to for a little while now - the local 'home' forest walk still gives us the most freedom & me the most confidence 🙂
I think I am recovering from the xmas kerfuffle. I've just polished off a banana, which I would normally have at breakfast, so I've just combined morning & midday meals 😉 & I've got a bottle of water with just a touch of Apple Cider vinegar in it :x I actually quiet like the tang & I do beleive my insides appreciate it 🙂 I've been having quite a few nasty waves of nausea washing over me for a while now.
I need to start 'beating myself up a bit' about the housework! I did get some dishes done before I went away, but there's still a mountain of pots and pans there!! & my mountains of dirty washing are growing death defying peaks!!! I did also get 1/2 the yard mowed, but the other half is overgrown & the 1st 1/2 could do with a trim (00)! & the general clutter continues to compact.
I must look online at what the costs of registering my puppies will be in my council, maybe I can do that while I'm in town? If I got the genny going & started tackling the dirty washing, I could mow my little fella's feet inbetween cycles . . . & then we could go to a favourite 'look-out' spot for a walk 😛 . . . that'd be nice 🙂
Well, by the time I get online, it'll be past Potatoe hour. So I'd better stop blurbing & post 😉
Love to all that need or want it, everything positive gratefully accepted 🙂
❤️

Re: Niquas Notes

Hi @Former-Member, @outlander, @Shaz51 and everyone,

Things are ramping up for my trip now and I have a busy number of days ahead trying to get everything done before I leave. Not that much for any reasonable person, but I go so slowly with things, it will take me twice or many times more the time to do everything.

I didn't end up having the ultrasound or physiotherapy session last week because I didn't sleep at all that night, so rang and cancelled. I have the ultrasound rescheduled for Tuesday but not sure whether I should wait until I get back now. Will decide before tomorrow so I can cancel with better notice this time.

Niqua, thank you for your love. I love you too. I'm glad you got the sense that I wrote the poem for you, even before I told you. Makes it seem even more meaningful that way.

I'm sorry I haven't been around much while you have been going through a slump. But I'm so glad you have @outlander, @Shaz51 and others to take good forum care of you too. As you said, we are the lucky ones to have so many caring people here, interested to hear the ins and outs of our days, to be supportive where possible and simply be with us when there's no easy fix to our problems. And to celebrate our small and large victories when they happen too.

Thanks for being excited for me about my trip too, and happy for me, even if a bit jealous, with my real life friends. I do very badly when alone and it's taken a long time to find other people I relate to up here aside from C. When I lived in Brisbane, there was almost no-one else for five years. At other times in my life, especially in Melbourne, I've had friends but felt alone with them and been unable to reach out to them when troubled, which was a lot. My friends now treat me well enough but C is my main support in all ways really. It's funny how, with real life friendship, it just doesn't seem possible to find the same level of support there is here, in the idealistic ethers, where we have only each other's spirit and writing to relate to. I don't mind though. It's a different thing, relating to people in real life I find, many more compromises and factors come into play.

I hear you about wishing you had a Phams person to assist with reconnecting with the real life social world. Also understand how you wouldn't want to admit there's anything wrong, as you don't believe that. I'd like to encourage you to keep thinking about that though, to maybe explore what might be on offer in your area through Phams or community services or social groups. Everyone is a stranger until they're no longer strange to us. You were once a stranger to everyone here on the forum, as was I. Now we have the blessing of a family feeling with people we've never even met. I would like to believe there is a way for you to find the solace of friendship in your real life again.

I'm around on and off the computer this afternoon, in between whatever else I get up to. I still haven't started doing anything today, just went back to bed for more sleep after chats in the other thread this morning. I need the sleep though, so it's okay.

Love all round.

Re: Niquas Notes

I just want to say, I'm feeling much better today. I got the chicken soup in 🙂 & have had plenty of water 🙂 I had some bowel problems which have been relieved a little. {fancy having output problems when you're having input problems ;)} & the cramping seems to have stopped [Phew!] 😄

Sun25Feb 1830

I've just gotten back from the next town over where I returned my dvds. Unfortunately nausea really kicked in, & a few stomach cramps just for good measure. I have to do something about my nutritional intake, & water - I'm 1 of the biggest nags when it comes to water - DER!
I'm sitting in my recliner now sipping a glass of water 😉
I hate not knowing if I'm sick, like a virus or something; if it's neuro-biological; or lack of nutrition; or all or any combination of the list. I feel sorry for people that do this on purpose as I once did, I know how I'm feeling & it hurts. Yet there is no hunger. I do not give a dam what size, shape or weight I am anymore - I just feel sick. Perhaps it's the weather, it's not even 30 & I've had a cold wash & am sitting under the fan feeling hot. I wonder if I have a temp? But I think it's the humidity. I've noticed at night I have to put the fan on even though it makes me feel a little cool?!? I then have to pull up a sheet & maybe a light blanket?!? I think all the fan is doing is cooling the sweat on my skin from the humidity in the air? The temp isn't very high at all.
Well, whinge whinge, whine whine . . . . that feels better 🙂 {I did have a 1/2 a paw paw today & I bought another as it didn't go down to terribly badly.}
I had a bout of this nausea that lasted nearly a year, but there was a lot of drama going on in my life at the time. This feels a little like the beginning of that - I have to stop this process before it goes any further! I have been going into town nearly every day, looking for something I want to eat. The past 2 days I've come home with 1/2 a paw paw - what a waste of fuel. I think I'll look for my favourite packet of chicken soup, that's already in the cupboard!

Re: Niquas Notes

Hi Niqua, sorry you have been unwell. Glad to hear you are feeling better today and that you got the chicken soup in. I too am finding the humidity, even where I am, hard to take. I really have a sweating problem, at the least provocation. Menopause is probably part of it, but it's more than that. I'll monitor how it's going when I'm in Melbourne then maybe talk to psychiatrist about it when I get back, as I think it's being excacerbated to a large extent by one of my medications. I can only imagine how warm it must be when the sun beats and the humidity rises where you are. A year of what you have been going through sounds awful. May you heal completely from it very quickly this time and never get it back. Paw paw doesn't sound like much to be eating. Even with chicken soup on top. I hope you can get some more food into you soon. @Former-Member
