Hey there @Former-Member Sorry it took me so long to get back here. I've spent most of the day working on the MH course I am (was) doing and had to wait for the call back from the upline therapist left over from Friday when the my therapist didn't know how to answer my questions.
Right now, I'm so over this trying to help myself get through this stuff!
Early last week I did the coursework and phoned them with the parts I wanted help with understanding only to be told "it's too close to the end of the course to deal with this now". (There was 2 more weeks to go)
So I say, "But, it's come out of doing the course work that was set for this week, how do I manage this, please?"
The therapist says she'll get a supervisor to call me back, and I agree. Then I got an email telling me I wouldn't get a call back until Monday (today). So I spent all last week trying to hang onto some semblance of calm and self control.
The course update email comes in this morning telling me that 'most people are now talking to their therapists about the parts of the course they need help with'. I sat here stunned because I'd been told it was too late to do that!
This afternoon, the supervisor therapist didn't even know the reason for having to call me back. No wonder they didn't call last week when it would have been helpful to me. We wasted half an hour with her trying to make herself feel better about how poorly my therapist had acted and how there was nothing she could do to help me.
I had been going to do another course with them, in a last ditch effort to work on anything possible to lift me out of this ennui I live with. But I shan't. It would only make me worse.
Sorry to dump on you and your thread Taya. But I feel much like you do right now I think.
Psychiatry and psychology haven't advanced their understanding of MI in far too long. imo.
I do hope you're feeling a little better hun.
I'm going to talk to my plants, they got a watering in that big storm that passed over a little earlier.
