Broken beyond repair

Broken beyond repair

I've been fooling myself long enough, nothing is ever going to work for me. Some pieces will never fit, the others are crushed. There is no therapy for a mind in chaos. Reading, hopeing the next technique might work, but it never does. The darkness is overwhelming and that is all I have to offer, darkness and emptiness. Small steps always end up back where I started, in the deepest darkest pit, alone. There seems no point. I am too broken. It is all too hard and I no longer have the energy to keep swimming. Hopeless cases do exist, I am one of them.

Re: Broken beyond repair

@Lemonjuice I'm in Tassie. The training my counsellor is doing, is for professionals in the city. A refresher course. She also wants to raise awareness about DID. So it's not for clients. I've just been asked to help with some information.

Re: Broken beyond repair

@Maggie That's ok. I was asking as a student of psychology. Lucky Tasmania. 😊

@Lemonjuice You might like to chat with @Phoenix_Rising, she has a degree in psychology.

Re: Broken beyond repair

Hi @Maggie, I too am reading along with much interest, increased understanding (I think) and an even greater admiration for you than I had before. And it was already very high.

Its nice that your counsellor is having you help with research and information for this refresher course she's doing in the city. You really are 'one of a kind' Maggie. Is that a little ironic, when there are more than 60 of you in there Maggie? Sorry.

I havent been around much lately, but I have definitely been thinking of you. Going through a difficult time right now, but hope to drag myself out of it soon. Nothing particular, just a whole bunch of things.

Talk again soon. With love.

Sherry

Re: Broken beyond repair

@Maggie I've been in contact with her already. A couple of people here are into psychology.

Re: Broken beyond repair

@Former-Member I saw you in the background and was wondering where I could have a chat. So glad you posted. I know it's a strange thread, but, there are some strange people about. Lol

I have thought of you often to, and wondered how things are going for you. You are welcome to talk here, if it feels comfortable for you, but only if you are up to it. I know sometimes putting words around our experiences is very difficult.

I haven't been here a lot myself, like you, nothing particular.

I had some help today cleaning my windows. The screens were so dirty. I'm glad I had them cleaned before help arrived. Clear view now.

I hope hubbies health is stable. I'm guessing nursing duties are taking up most of your time these days. Do you get a chance to do any painting/sketching?????

Take care dear lady, always good to catch up, and always ready to listen.

Re: Broken beyond repair

@Lemonjuice That's good to hear. It's so good to see people doing psychology and experiencing MI themselves. A different outlook.

You said lucky Tassie. Not really, the mental health system here is badly broken. I stumbled across my counsellor after a long and difficult road. All had given up on me, she believes in me. What a difference one person can make in our lives.
