Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Note* Ive just started this thread again so it will be visible. Once I deleted my account it no longer shows up.

please join in again if and when needed.

Good morning @frog @eudemonism (thanks for the tags) and everyone 🙂

Today on my list is to fill in and submit enrolment paperwork for a new school for one of mine. Earlier in the week, after months of journeying through school applications and processes, a last minute offer of an awesome opportunity came through for them. We were ready to go with everything for a different school but yesterday they decided to take the new offer so today I have some work to do to have it signed off and secured.

Go to a GP appointment and pay a couple of bills are the other things on my list today (not a fan of paperwork or bills at all!).

Wishing everyone the best with their hopes and goals for the day! 🌈🌞

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Getting things down on a list on the kitchen bench was my life saving behaviour. A lot of the time I thought it did not matter as I would not be here to fulfill the list. So had internal arguments about the worth of it, but I would scrawl it out quickly, on envelopes or scraps of paper too fast to stop the self defeating thoughts to have effect and stop my writing.

If the job did not happen immediately, the list was still there, and gradually I did cross the essentials off. The issues that made the difference between life were gradaully all sorted.

The food bought and cooked and the bills paid and fifteen years later. My son and I are still here. I really did not believe we would make it, but we have.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi everyone,

Felt tired and unwell today, but I nonetheless did the following:

  • long walk on the beach to the local village shops
  • craft group at the mental health community centre there
  • more walking around the streets to get lunch
  • bus home
  • took washing off line and folded
  • stacked the dishwasher and got that done.

I also napped for a couple of hours, but feel overall better for doing those things.

Wishing all rewarding days ahead.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Awesome to hear you managed to do all of those things today @Mazarita, especially with the extra challenge of not feeling well! Great to hear you went to a craft group too and hope it was enjoyable.

I did 2/3 things on my list today. I got to the school with the completed paperwork which is a big one. I now have one very excited littler person about what's to come for them and am feeling the relief of having the stressful school selection process finalised as of today. I also went to my GP appointment and am starting a new medication from tonight too. Nervous but a little hopeful about it.

Bills can wait one more day (I probably say that one too often!).

Hope everyone has had a day that feels right enough for them.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Thanks, @CheerBear. Great to hear your work on organising a school for one of your LFs is completed now, and that it's such an exciting opportunity for them. Also good to hear you may be helped along with things by some new medication. Maybe see you over at the feast tonight.

Morninng everyone,

Really enjoyed our medieval night last night, had beautiful pictures that covered everything we needed, felt like we were all there together, so thank you for that.

Have done some cleaning this morning.

Now in between chatting and reading on here, still had no luck in getting a 4 bedrom rental, so spending time searching for more, pretty expensive some of them though when your on DSP payments so hoping something will come through uniting communities housing.

I am having a lot of trouble with next door neighbours, which i have gone to police about and they know them as there's always police cars there at least twice a month and they told me to move out for our safety.
