Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Note* Ive just started this thread again so it will be visible. Once I deleted my account it no longer shows up.

please join in again if and when needed.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @Delicatessen great to see you here too. I hope it’s helpful. As you can see we are all pretty different so please contribute what would be helpful for you too. A few of us have issues with domestic stuff but it doesn’t have to be about that, any goal or motivation you need support with. Good luck for Monday with the new job.

a big hi to @oceangirl who I keep missing. I hope your arvo has been good.

im totally unmotivated today and very much living in my head. I think I’ll need to get some stuff out and support here soon.......lots of it is about motivation and creating successful routines which seem to evade me currently. My head is full of really silly questions (some are a bit shaming) but I’m feeling strangely rudderless just now. End of teej ramble.

The blue hair looks awesome @Faith-and-Hope. I’d love that colour. Mine is starting to change a little more now which I’m ticked off about. I thought I’d get away with it a bit longer even though I knew how lucky I was 🤭.

Hi @Teej

I did have a good afternoon with family after I got my new set of tyres. Try to get into a routine slowly and add more as you feel you're ready. I have not long got home and cooked a healthy dinner. What have you been up to this afternoon?

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

My hair is lighter and more sea- lure in the sunshine @Teej ....but it should settle back into platinum and grey tones across the week, especially with another wash or two.

I didn’t get out and about with D3 today. She wasn’t up for it, which was just as well, cos I fell into a fatigued heap today .... all day .... and the sheets are washed but not back on the bed.

Ordered the bits and pieces I wanted online, but D3’s orders have to be placed in person.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @Teej, @Faith-and-Hope, @oceangirl, @Delicatessen and everyone. A new week. Some goals and motivations to keep me moving again. So far today I have:

  • got up, took meds, had coffee, had breakfast, more meds, forumed
  • phone calls and texts, one for psychiatrist to ring back, others different matters
  • turned on music for motivation, opened blinds, made bed, basin wash, dress.

For the rest of the day:

  • washing
  • unpack and repack dishwasher
  • tidy anything around the flat that needs tidying (won't be much after last week's effort)
  • go out on a short errand to corner shop, and check mail
  • lunch to be prepared
  • redye hair and make appointment to have it cut
  • shower
  • meditation
  • make some notes about managing my moods in Melbourne in a few weeks
  • make some notes about a talk I'm going to have to give when down there (eek).

That'll probably do me for today. Hope you all have a good one.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi @Mazarita @oceangirl and all.
This morning has and hasn’t gone to plan. I was besides myself last night and this morning stressing about starting volunteering. I’d planned to be up early, have something to eat, coffee, meds, shower and wash hair and have time to get my brain together. It didn’t work BUT I did shower quickly and get to volunteering, the eating taking meds coffee time was taken up distracting to calm myself.
It went ok and I’m feeling relieved but enacting my safety plan for if it went well.......yep you read that. I was just as scared feeling good emotions too. But having made the plan to go to the nursery has helped. I’m sitting having coffee next to a calming water feature and will venture out and look/dream about the plants after I’m calm/neutral.
The rest of the day my plan is just to try and make it as ‘normal’ as possible.
Dreams include washing my sheets, cooking tea, keep going with the great kitchen organisation of 2018, which is just cleaning out my cupboards mostly. I bought some melamine which Bunnings cut up for me for extra shelves. Hoping to have a functional kitchen one day 😳
I hope everyone is going ok.
@Mazarita it looks like your motivation is back a bit at the moment. Here’s hoping your day goes ok.
@Former-Member I love reading your updates. I always smile. I think I subscribe to your way of doing things 😊
