Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Note* Ive just started this thread again so it will be visible. Once I deleted my account it no longer shows up.

please join in again if and when needed.

Hi @Angela17 Welcome! it can be really hard to get out of a hole, motivation wise. I hope you've had a few little victories since you last posted. No matter how small the steps, they do build momentum. Whole heartedly agree re making the bed @Faith-and-Hope. I read somewhere that even if you don't get much further, your bed is welcoming at the end of the day.

I also punctuate my day with cups of tea @Maggie sometimes it's my reward for doing a task.

Yes @frog ...... I didn't mention that, did I ? Making the bed is a simple form of self-care. If it doesn't feel that way at first, it can grow on you.

Hi@Faith-and-Hope I was thinking of

"treatment for what is referred to as "inertia" is the idea of making your bed every day. Even if you lie straight back down on top of it, or in it, just the act of making the bed every day brings a small, simple challenge."

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

That is correct @frog ..... and it feels like a better bed to get straight back into too .....

Hi @NatureLover @Maggie @NatureLover @Teej

What have you go on today?

I have a lot and it's making me very anxious.

The main reason is having to do work on job applications. Not by choice. My work is restructuring

But some normal things too: groceries, water garden

and a lovely thing: daughter is coming over for a chai

How are you @Angela17?

Will check back in later.

Oh gosh, @frog - job applications! Good luck with that, and with your anxiety... It's nice that your daughter's coming over.

I have to do some tidying of the house today, plus back up everything on my ancient old computer in preparation for swopping over to the new computer...eeek! (I'm not very technological lol)

@frog I hope the job application goes ok. Not the easiest thing in the world to tackle.

I hope you and your daughter have a relaxing chai together.

I have just watched church online, and had a shower, both were , maybe yes, maybe no, so I’ve achieved something.

I hope to do some painting or reading, or both.

Oh, I have washing on the line, doing better than I thought.

@Teej @Faith-and-Hope @Angela17 @NatureLover 👋👋

Hi @NatureLover @Maggie @Faith-and-Hope hope you've made some headway on what you wanted to do today. I've done a lot, but am having trouble facing the job application stuff. Still time, though. I need to set smaller goals rather than seeing it as one big scary task.
