Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Note* Ive just started this thread again so it will be visible. Once I deleted my account it no longer shows up.

please join in again if and when needed.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

I made it to work and did a good job today. I'm in charge at the moment, as my boss is on leave. That was my one goal and I achieved it. If only the staff new how much I thought about SI...

My goal tomorrow is to smash it at the gym and have a good appointment with my psychologist. Our last appointment was really bad, and I SH after it. This time I need to be honest and make use of our appointment.

Hugs and hello 👋 to @Appleblossom @Sans911 @Shaz51 @outlander and others.

hope tomorrow goes well @Molliex I hope your psych is helpful and you feel ok enough to go to the gym, maybe leave the gym till after the appointment. I find sometimes exercise can be quite helpful in managing sh urges too

Thanks @outlander. The gym is at work so I go on my lunch. Exercise is really the thing that helps my MH the most, and as someone who never really liked exercise, it's been quite the revelation.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

That's a good idea @outlander. If I stick to the gym for the rest of the year, I might get some stuff to have at home. I've only started weights, and my arms are so sore!!

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Yeah weights can be a good workout @Molliex i lift bales of hay on my own so when i do weights i try to make the workout fun and alter the exercises to work different muscle groups rather the just what i would use to lift bales of hay.

You must be so strong @outlander. I'm such a city slicker with an office job. I carry my toddler lots though, and she's getting heavier by the day 😂😂

Hi @outlander it's good to be on top of all the house work and odd jobs that need doing . I'm glad you're on top of everything ...

Yesterday i vacumed and cleaned the windows. For myself it's really hard to see the point in everything and find the motivation . Because with alot of goals it's a temporary fix and they need doing again and again. So i keep it to all the essential goals usually.

At some stage I've gotta clean the gutters. Weed and clean the backyard and get a flat patch ready for some lawn. Prune the trees out the front . It's never ending it really is . The lawn will need ongoing maintenance and mowing and it's also to keep the dust down . Plus i gotta clean up all the dirt and muck from around the house . + the bathroom and toilet could do with a good scrubbing with some bleach .
