Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Note* Ive just started this thread again so it will be visible. Once I deleted my account it no longer shows up.

please join in again if and when needed.

@BryanaCamp

Sounds like your day is off to a great start, I hope you enjoy your time with your friends.

I completely understand what you’re saying about being numb, I often feel like I’m detached from what is going on around me, almost like I’m watching myself from a distance.

I had a nice picnic with two of my closest friends yesterday, spending a bit of time with each of them individually as well. This was so nice to get out of the house and spend some time with them. I just wish I could open up a bit more and be a bit more honest about my feelings.

hi gang, hope all on the thread are ok today

thanks @whitegem , lunch was great, so glad I pushed myself to do it.

Great you went out for a picnic & enjoyed it, that's tremendous

My goal for today is to go to volunteering & not lose my patience today like I did last week. Don't really have any strategies as I feel like my colleague goes at me like an excited terrier, I guess I should just leave the room & count to 10. Will let you know how I go.

Good work on setting that goal @BryanaCamp - counting to ten is a good one! Anyone else have any quick calming strategies? Some breathing exercises can be good or visualisation ones - like thinking of a balloon as the frustration then letting it go and float away...🎈

I'm thinking about part time work... or some volunteering with benefits... I'm also thinking about cutting down/quitting smoking... and cutting back to a couple cups of coffee a day...

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Thanks @Shaz51 I went fine, I didn't need to calm down it went ok today as my colleague was calmer. I noticed my boss getting impatient with my colleague so that made me feel much better - it's not just me that finds him aggitating.

Today I did some research for a job interview, did a short work out and made a great big stir-fry. Too tired to do the washing up! I'm going to have a rest now, I'm going out for dinner.

My goal is to remain calm & not say anythong confrontational to this person who I felt disrespected by last time he stood me up - I'm still expecting him to cancel the whole thing at short notice.
