Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Note* Ive just started this thread again so it will be visible. Once I deleted my account it no longer shows up.

please join in again if and when needed.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@Shaz51 After cleaning and waiting, the manager casually commented as he passed by, I don't have to do your flat, you haven't been here long enough!!!!!!! Why did he give me a form and time then?????? I'll never understand the human race.

@BryanaCamp @frog And everyone passing through, I hope you day is better than mine.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

that's annoying @Maggie , how inconsiderate. At least the cleaning is done I guess

My new fridge is in @Shaz51 , I was nervous while the installer was here (even though he was a really nice young chap) but now it's done & I love it! Went for a 5km walk and now just have to keep my energy up so I can go out to see a band tonight.

Hi @Teej @Faith-and-Hope @outlander hope you're having a good day. Hot here but a cool change coming.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@BryanaCamp well done... have you got any life long big picture goals that you can chip away at on a daily basis?

My daily goal is to write at least three pages of journal a day...
I've set my alarm every hour with reminders for brekky, medication; meditation, writing, reading, fishing, enjoy life, relax, lunch, rest- rest-rest... cupof tea... fishing, tv, medication, prepare for bed... it's from 6am till 9pm... i would love a few more rain hail or shine routines... coffee or walks with mentors / friends... socializing... regular family contact....

But i suppose lonliness and battling demons is just apart of life... as scary as it is
... they'll most likely always come back...

Would absolutely love more out and about adventures with someone who is not mental... hikes/fishing trips/photography sessions... drives...

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi,

I had a good day yesterday; lazy morning followed by a nice walk outside and some baking. I also finally got back into reading last night (been too busy/tired lately) and it is already making me feel good - I now know what I’ve been missing.

I’m going out for a picnic with some friends today and am looking forward to spending some time with people other than my family. I just hope I can enjoy the moment and not revert to my self-destructive outsider thoughts.

How is everyone else doing?

What do other people do to relax?

Xx gem

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

hi @eudemonism your daily schedule sounds terrific! you're so organised. I usually take it one day at a time. One longer term goal for me now is applying for work, I've submitted about 5 applications so fingers crossed. My other long term goal is to increase my friendship circle, make new friends. For that I've joined a few new Meetup groups and have rsvp'd for a Meetup event next weekend. I've also asked some friends out for next weekend to try to develop our friendships - they said yes, so far so good. But people can cancel at the last minute which makes me very emotional & angry. Have you thought about joining Meetup? I've seen loads of outdoors groups on it. I'm in a big city so that makes it easier on Meetup, lots to choose from. With time, I've met some great people and they don't have MI.

hi @Maggie , hope you're well. The band was fantastic! So glad I pushed myself to go. Hope your home has settled back down to a peaceful place.

My goals for today..

I've done my short workout & a walk, been to the post office.

Off to lunch with some friends and my goal is to remain calm & not get too emotional but also not to be numb like a statue.

This arvo my aim is to do some research for a job app.

Hope everyone is having a good day so far

Hi @Teej @whitegem @Shaz51 , hope you're well.
