Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Note* Ive just started this thread again so it will be visible. Once I deleted my account it no longer shows up.

please join in again if and when needed.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

My goal for the day was to slow down. I have trouble with this and get anxious, but I have done quite well.

Other goals for the afternoon/evening:

  • iron 1 thing (at least)
  • do my physio roller
  • reading
  • early night

Afternoon @Mazarita @Shaz51 @Teej @eudemonism @Zaphod and all passing this way. Hope your day has been ok.

@frog if you're slowing down and stopping it's kind of a bad sign... fair enough have an afternoon rest-but for the large part of the day it's just go go go...

Good for you @frog. My day is slow again. I need to speed up. I have lots to do. Hoping tomorrow is a good day getting things done.

Not sure I understand what you mean @eudemonism about slowing down and stopping being a bad sign.

I need to slow down and would like to be able to stop, though that only happens when I'm too physically sick to move. I rarely rest - between home, kids, dogs, work, study. It would do me a lot of good it I could.

@frogit will probably be one extreme or the other. Maybe your medication isn't working on a therapeutic level.

I'm that stuffed up from the injection. Even the basics are a massive effort.

I'm not going to tag you all because need to get off the forum but will check in later.

I have a lot to do today and it feels a bit overwhelming atm. Still, I have my list and here goes with the first few:

  • Finish physio exercises. I've made a really good start on this today, after struggling with my routine post daylight savings.
  • Do some study and plan how I'm going to tackle it over the next week
  • Get Skype onto my laptop so I can have a remote appointment.

That'll do for a start. Wishing everyone well in the motivation department today.

Here's question I've got for all the health professionals who genuinely care and genuinely want to help. Is it about that or the money? Money shouldn't come into the equation if you're dedicated and genuine.

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

After an average day im going to count the 1%s.

Proactive things i did today - went for short walk

- made progress with psych

- cleaned and tidied up a bit

- applied for 2 jobs.

Goals for tomorrow

- drink a big glass of water on waking up

- apply for 2 more jobs

- Go for another walk

- clean and tidy up a bit more

- ring family/friends

- call quitline

- allow myself to feel what i feel, continue to get to know and accept myself, and keep on counting the one 1%s.
