Re: rough time

Lil Sis do you know why you're anxious? Anxiety is a fear, so what are you afraid of? Are you worried you might lose your Pop or your sister? I don't want to make you feel worse, but sometimes if we dig down to the reasons why we are anxious, it will help to drive those fears away.

Everyone gets a little off colour every now and then. Usually it's something pretty simple that's caused the issue. It's not often its more. And it's winter too, making people more susceptible to illness. Your sister is young and generally healthy. And so is your Pop.

Re: rough time

I dont really know @Sans911 i guess so. I dont want to loose them. I dont want them to get really sick. Pops been in hospital a few times from being sick. My youngest sisters been there once before too. I dont want them to have to ( or anyone) to go through that sort of thing or be in pain.

Re: rough time

Ok @outlander so can you ask yourself perhaps what's so different this time that's got you so worried? Do you think they'll both get worse and end up in hospital again?

No one wants the people they love to be in hospital. But your sister is young healthy and strong. She might be upset about something or have eaten something she's not used to. Hopefully she be better by the morning. Try to think a bit like a nurse too. Try to think if this young girl came to your hospital what would you do? What might you say to her older sister that looks a little anxious? How would you reassure and comfort her?

Same with your Pop. What would you do as a nurse to reassure his Grand-daughter? Does your Pop have a flu or pneumonia vaccination every year because he should. And you can only do so much for him as he is a fully grown man, and has the right to make choices about his health and well-being. I know you are taking really good care of him, and he is extremely lucky he has you.

You know I'm more than happy to talk to you and help work this out, but would a helpline be any better for you. So you can hear them reassure you?
