Re: rough time

Morning @outlander - how are you sweetheart?

Did you get some sleep? I couldn't sleep, had so much stuff going on in my head, had to end up taking something to help me sleep.

Hey @Snowie @Sans911 @Former-Member and @MDT - how are you all today?

xxx

Re: rough time

Hey there

@outlander @MDT @Snowie @Sans911 @Bella1978 hope everyone's day is going smoothly, or as smoothly as it can. Down days can go smoothly too.

Hopefully there was some quiet time and even some restfulness in the darktime hours for you @outlander, I managed to baby my hands a bit, massage, ointment, and keeping a little elevated, so not so much pain and got a better sleep last night.

Although something got into one of my newly seeded pots and tipped it over, scratching out all the germinated seeds, and eating them. I think there are possums clambering over the roof lately and eating the tops off many of my newly growing seedlings. Feeling a bit sad about that as there is not a thing I can do to protect my plants here, so will just have to suck it up.

I hope the day is helpful to recovery and increased wellbeing for everyone here.

Re: rough time

Afternoon @Former-Member - Damn possums or whatever ate your seeds. Can you maybe put some sort of covering, like fishing net or chicken wire over them until they've established? Or grow the seeds elsewhere until ready to plant? It must be so disheartening to do that work and see it destroyed.

Good self care work there @Former-Member. And a good sleep too.

I've been having a reasonable day. I've got dinner in the slow cooker for me and cooked my cats food. My little Jasper seems to have a sensitive gut, so I've made him some mince, veges and rice. He loves it, which is a good thing. I will rotate the meat around to different minces, like kangaroo, salmon, etc. And may have to get him some vitamin\minerals powders to add into it.

Hello @Bella1978—I'm doing alright today. Thanks for asking.

Re: rough time

Hey there @Sans911 thank you for your kind thoughts. Yes, losing the seedlings - it almost made me cry as it is a reminder of a lot of other things, but instead I sighed and took it in my stride.

I might put some netting over what's left, but there's no where to move them to to get sunlight here. High fences and trees and the winter sun angle means there's only teeny patches that are both safe to put the pots, and get enough sunlight. I do love the fences though, as the privacy is superb.

But, it's okay really, it was an experiment, and sometimes they don't go as planned, being experiments and all. I had hoped though.

It made me smile to imagine you cooking for your cat, that's lovely. I used to cook for the dogs too. The food is so much better for them than purchased stuff and gives you such a good feeling to know you're looking after you beloved pets. Cats love kangaroo in my experience.

So glad to hear your day is going reasonably! You have done well being organised, i hope you feel good about it. Slow cooked dinners are yummy and the fragrance of it cooking all day is a heartwarming thing too.

Re: rough time

@Former-Member - I'm pleased about being organised today. My dinner is delicious, and now ready. But I'm totally exhausted and have retreated to the comfort of my bed. I don't have be up for a couple of hours so I'm going to stay here, play a game on my phone or do some colouring in.

I hope your afternoon has been ok.

Re: rough time

That sounds good @Sans911. Look after you.

@outlander just wanted to pop in to say I checked those crochet kits today, there are a couple of them and they look like a good way to start with crochet. From the little I could see of hte pattern, it looks like they use US terms. That is just something to know about, that there are differences between some crochet terms for UK/ AUS and US patterns.

Well, I'm off again now to do some other things, rest well everyone when you do. Waves to @Sans911 @outlander @Bella1978 @Snowie @MDT and others who may pass by.
