Re: rough time

Oh @Former-Member i did not expect that sort of response! Thank you. You are a rather amazing person yourself.

Good im glad your not going to give it up but sorry your in pain. Its rather frustrating when we cnt do the things we want! I hope your hands stop being a pain so you can get keep doing more of your crafts.
Oh speaking of crafts when i went shopping the other day i come across a beginners kit for crochetting. It only lt come with a small amount and 2 or 3 colours but it might be a good place to start when im able to do more things again. It was at big w actually and not that expensive either-under 15 with everything included.

Re: rough time

Oh, goodness, that sounds like an excellent way to start your crochet journey @outlander. Those sorts of things are likely to be on sales now due to Mother's day sales, so good to check things you might be wanting to collect at those times.

I'm sure you'll have read somewhere my mantra of 'never pay full price' always keep an eye out for sales and now the time of year things go on sale in your area eg show time and celebration times.

Thank you for your kind words too, hon. I mean it too. I am estranged from all family and it wasn't supposed to be like this, life happened around us all and pushed us into a corner.

I'll keep on doing my crafts though hon, it's what keeps me on an even keel.

I think I might have to go to sleep very soon. Have to close up stuff and sort for bed, but I am fading fast so might say 'goodnight, sleep tight, dont' let the bed bugs bite' and catch you a bit later if that's okay.

Re: rough time

hey, had a thought, do you do breathing relaxation exercises to shut your mind down?

There's a square breathing one my psychiatrist taught me way back when the dinosaurs roamed and I sitll use it to this day when I can't sleep. I'll find a link to something like it if you dont' already have something to work to.

Or, does ASMR work for you? it doesnt' for me, but does for lots of people. You Tube it till you find someting that might work for you perhaps.

Sorry for the shortness, my fingers and brain are shutting down and I'm typing this as fast as I can so I can get it in before my eyes close. and I'm having to correct sooo many typos as I go....

I will be off now, sweet dreams to you @outlander and to @Bella1978 I'll see your response before I close down though.

Re: rough time

They are really easy to find. If you go to big w and type in crochet kits ot brings them up. Ones 15 and ones 20.both look really good. I love sales though around certain events we oftem dont have sales with these sorts of things. Around this time they bring out more beauty type things for mums but will keep an eye out might get lucky.
It really sucks how some thing turn out. I hope in time you can reconnect with family. They would be lucky to havr you.

Goodnight @Former-Member sleep well 💚💙

Re: rough time

square breathing technique just one link I found for you @outlander before I go hon.

This is the simplest process and is what I also use to control anxiety. It works. You have to focus on the count, the breath and when you get the hang of it, it cuts out all else. Takes some getting used to, but practicing when you're not stressed has benefits too, and then helps when you become stressed.

I will check out some of those kits tomorrow. Yeah, simple things make me smile I love that you saw that juxtaposition.

Rest well, must go now.
