@outlandermy pdoc talks to me about waiting for too long to seek help or take a prn. So instead of waiting, he wants me to take them at the start of an episode, it seems to be helping. So perhaps reaching out of help earlier might be something you can try.
I know you are concerned about how many visits you have with a psych, but you need to feel comfortable with them. Remember it is YOU that has control over what you discuss and what is off limits. You also have every right to tell your psych that you are not comfortable with how she is talking to you.
I think it is normal that we get upset easier over smaller things, I know I do. I think it is something that might improve with time....
Anniversaries of people important to us always are tough and I know they don't get easier with time. We might accept it but doesn't make it less upsetting..
I can also understand that negative self talk hun, do enough of it myself. You are not a failure, you are just going through a really hard crappy time atm ![]()

Oh my darling, you have been going through so much emotionally.
Try not to take on what your therapist has said to you luv. I could rant on about how I disagree with her counselling techniques but I don’t think you need that right now. Instead I want to support you. please rethink doing the exercise where you let your anxiety run wild – personally I think that should be done in a safe and controlled environment.
You’re going through such a tough time luv – please don’t judge yourself for not being able to do basic things. depression/anxiety is all too consuming sometimes and the basic routine things seem 10 times harder.
I want to type so much more but I don’t want to overwhelm you as im sure others are going to message you too luv.
You have so many friends on these forums luv. so many of use were so worried about you, not hearing from you. you mean so much to a lot of people. you do fit in, you fit in right here with us.
Im here for you sweets

Lil Sis- @outlander you know I am going to put my nurses cap on and say please, please be careful with your meds. Taking higher doses won't do you any good. It's just messing with your body/brain chemistry.
Think of your therapist lie this- if you were paying her, would you accept the treatment she is dishing out to you? Just because you are not paying here it doesn't mean you deserve sub standard treatment. Nobody does.
You haven't had stability with your mental for such a long time; real stability that is. So you can't effectively work on issues until you are stable sis.
I would strongly urge you to look into peer support worker availabilty in your area for you. This person is essentially your support, your advocate, your mentor. There must be something available in your area for you.
Getting upset at little things is a sign of being overwhelmed. I am much the same at times. And I misinterpret things all the time, and tick myself off for it. You already have ongoing stressors, and so it doesn't take much to put you over the edge into panic mode.
I don't have all the answers for you outlander, but I do know you need more support. Hearing you sound so low, desperate, not wanting to live makes me sad. Please try to reach out for more support. There has to be someone eventually who is right for you.

@outlanderPlease don't give up looking for support; there will be someone who will see what is going on, and things will fall into place with this person. Keep fighting for the help you need and deserve.
If the pysch doesn't feel right for you, then why are you continuing lil Sis? You don't owe her anything. And GPs shouldn't always go off a pysch report. My GP never has. She has not once asked any of my pyschs or counsellers for their opinion. She has received reports, but during my time in her office, the focus is on me, not what the reports say. Often, I just need a willing ear, and occasionally some practical advice.
Perhaps it is fear at your GP appointments outlander that make you less likely to speak up for fear of criticism, rebuttal or expectation of what you SHOULD do, not what is right for you. I would hedge a bet that much of your life has been one criticism after another. You have probably been told on numerous occasions that you're not worth much, that this is wrong about you or you never do something the right way. And now you believe that is who you are. But you are not. You are strong, you are resilient, you are smart and resourceful, and you are worth being alive because you have so much to offer.
