Re: rough time

@outlander ...i understand about being afraid to speak to doctors about how u are feeling because you dont want to go to hospital...i had 3 hospital stays last year..1 i self presented and the other 2 i was sectioned...so i am reluctant to tell them everything ...i tend to talk more about the external things that are bothering me and keep some of my dark thoughts to myself(although i do tell them some) whether this is a good thing...probably not...i know they need to know everything to be able to make a good judgememt call on my current mental state...but i really dont want another hospital stay and have to work hard within myself to keep it that way...my MH team know me well and it is impossible to keep phsycosis from them...which i dont have atm touch wood..and im determined to keep it that way...i just have to stay positive and hope for the best...i hope you have a good day..sounds like you need one to build your confidence a bit...wishing you well @outlander

Hi @catgirl welcome, its nice to meet you and also thank you
I would like to develop a relationship where i can be honest but without the threat of hospital constantly looming over my head too.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with me.

Re: rough time

@outlander - let me tell you when you can be honest and up front with the professionalisms, hospital often can be avoided. I'm often surprised because when I think I should be in hospital I'm not. It's when they suspect your not telling them almost everything that'll hospitalise you because of the level of risk you are potentially putting yourself at. So stop being fearful and paranoid. Work with them to protect yourself and keep you safe. You might be surprised. But you have to help yourself. Have effective coping strategies, be proactive and not sit back and let things happen to you. It's hard work I know, but in time it gets easier and your risk of harm lessens. I've been there bub. You know that
