Re: rough time

@outlander - does this group of people know each other previously? Did you 'click' and with anyone at all? Sorry it wasn't what you hoped or expected but yeah, glad you're going to persevere for a bit.

Re: rough time

The group is basically all mothers @Sans911 and while i dont mind they also attend the mothers group too that is run at this centre. They all know each other including the co ordinator. Nope didnt click at all. Didnt know how to engage in their conversation esp when it became abit m rated so made me uncomfortable and because they all know each other most of them arent under 30 so got away with being there despite ot being 30 the max age. I had one conversation with someone after one of the others had left fir an appt. And that was right at the end.
I didnt know what to expect but i thoughtit mightve been different. Its run well with activities like next week is yoga but they are also bringing in guest speakers about family conflicts and relationships, womens health and another is something else but cant remember so its not the way its run in that sense but not sure about the people. Theres suppose to be another 3 next week. Again mothers but if they are all in that mothere group i think ill leave

Re: rough time

@outlander,that happens a lot in my experience, where you do feel outcasted, don't know whether it's just nature or what, good on you for giving it a go and persevering.

Re: rough time

It may as well have been mothers meeting twice a week instead of one. Good to get out around people but im not sure about this group for the reason its all mothers, they all click together all married and all they do is talk about the mothers group. We done cake decorating today which was ok.

Re: rough time

Oh, that's a bit tricky @outlander. I guess you have very little in common huh? And try to break into an already established group is really difficult. You really need people around your age. What a shame. Could you chat to the coordinator next time, tell her you're a little disappointed in your expectations & see if there's anything else you can join?
