Re: rough time

That's ok if you are learning something like cake decorating, not just sitting around in social groups, yes they all have kids in common @outlander,if it's getting you out for a few hrs, who cares.

Re: rough time

Yeh nothing in common. Im basically intruding on their opportunity for another mothers group meeting @Sans911 even the services they are talking about are for parents. Theres auppose to be 3 more next week so will stick it out till then and maybe itll be different but those others are mums too so im not sure how this is going ro work out. I was really hoping for some younger members like myself but they are 26 and up and parets and married and all know each other and they can relate. I was still polite and spoke occassionally but was relaly hardto do

@Former-Member it was awkward i just couldn't relate at all. They said they have a womens craft group but moat of them are over 40 so not sure a out that group either. I think im at a sucky age where unless your in uni theres not much around.

Re: rough time

Its not always cake decorating. They do a quick demonstration the last 45 minutes but the 2 and abit hrs before then is talking in a social group setting. @Former-Member

Re: rough time

The way it was spoken and even advertised for it looked good and so went in for an open mind but whe they walk in even singlely but then flock together on the other side of the table abit awkward. But really it doesnt seem like what it was advertised for

Re: rough time

But ill see what happens next time when there's a few more people. Will go again but will play it by the day and if it doesnt change then i think ill leave esp when it seems directed at parents

Re: rough time

It's called human behaviour @outlander,you have my problem ,no sense of belonging and different to everyone else, accept it,don't make its problem which is one reason I retreat. On Sunday when I seen the Movie, the cinema was half full,I hated it as I'm used to going during the week when it's quiet and only a few people there or sometimes none, that's just me.

Re: rough time

@outlander,either don't go back or see it as a social experiment for yourself.Only you know what to do,been in those groups where I never went back.P""" you off when its not what you think but
