@Former-MemberI'm sorry that you and D have to go through all of this. Unfortunately they sound self centered and don't realise these things until much later. Such a shame because they were supportive at the beginning.
Sometimes life deal us some crappy cards and I wish I knew why. Glad your hubby took her out. I know what it is like to want to take your children out but cannot bring yourself to do it.
So cry as much as you need and get it out. Am sitting with you and sending some hugs your way. ![]()

I have your back on the physical pain all the time @outlander
We could live a more comfortable life-style without that - but here's a thing
It's changes us - and if we choose to we can let it make us into better people
Yes - try the hard stare - it seems to me that there are people who can be intimidating and get off on it - I had someone try that years ago when I was getting around on crutches and this person asked me
"What the &%)#+% do you think you are doing crossing the highway?"
I gave her the hard stare - it got around that she had spoken to me like that and I certainly had my own camp - people who agreed Mrs Potty Mouth was inappropriate
She left me alone after that -
After a while people will get the idea that you are going to do whatever you choose and they will let it go - and yes - you may be crumbling inside but you can hold a stare I am sure
Cause you are a fighter - I was a fighter - I have every faith in you - and it is really rotten that you have had a hard start in life

@Former-Memberno doubt it hurts, especially when it is someone close to us and we are powerless to do anything medically to help them. But by the sounds of it D is extremely lucky to have you and her father.
All you can do it be there by her side and support her as much as you are doing now. Just please make sure you look after yourself too.
@outlanderhope you managed some rest/sleep today.
