Hi @outlander
It's a really hot day in Melbourne - last night the hot air outside seemed to force it's way in when I opened the door and Companion Cat went outside late and stayed out. I know she is trying to get the Cicadas - fat chance she will ever catch one
I read that you have these stuck-up people giving you the cold-shoulder at the horse place. You have every right to be there to see you horse and do whatever - and I have an idea for you to practice
I call it giving the hard stare. It's hard to start but you can learn to do it
You have a right to be in the world and not have people demean you - so you have the right to stare back if people are doing or saying whatever. The idea is to stare at them harder and longer than you normally would - and gradually look them up and down. You don't have to say anything to them -
It's something I do at times - maybe it doesn't gain me any popularity and maybe you will find it uncomfortable but
Yeah - the past is hooking you back at times and you are an employed and some of your work is paid - caring for Pop - and then you pick up the slack for your mother so you are really a person who is needed and fills in for other people so remember that and just stare if people stop laughing and stare at you and say whatever
I'm really sorry this is the way it is for you Outlander - but there are people who seem to get pleasure out of other people by being rude
And you are not rude
All the best Dec
