Re: rough time

@outlanderbeautiful pics, thanks. Glad you emailed some psych's too.

@Sans911that is not a good room mate and leaves you in a tricky situation too. Would it help if you spoke to her about how she is not making it easier for you?

@Faith-and-HopeI hope you are feeling better today. Very hot today

@Former-Membersitting sounds good, am lying on my bed too with the fan pointed at me!

@Former-Memberlove finding out about your walks and what animals you saw along the way.

Re: rough time

I have air con on. Might have to turn it off @Former-Member
It’s chilly. Wow. We’ve been without air con for a while. Had two installed this weekend. I’m so impressed. This is not a place to go without air con.

Re: rough time

I can believe that @Sans911 ..... a lot of my extended family relationships are a compromise. When finances are low it is really hard to create a financial buffer as well, like keeping extra rent money up your sleeve, but not letting on to her, cos if she knew she would trade on that as well.

I am glad there is trade-off with good aspects of the relationship. Sometimes it can help just to come to terms with who they are and recognise they are not likely to change, and make contingency plans wherever you can around the shortfalls.

It sounds like you have learned to do that with your Mum, but of course you are not living with her ..... harder with your housemate.

Can you ask her to start contributing ahead financially so you don’t end up stuck as often as you do ? She might find it a bit easier to break financial payments down into weekly amounts, eg. $ X has to go into the jar on Mondays, rather than trying to come up with $ XXX on Week 4.
