@Faith-and-Hope - sorry it's actually Monday and Tuesday. Did I say that or did you get it mixed up? I'm having a very quiet weekend. Mum comes home tommorow from Darwin. She's just staying the night with me befores she heads south for home.

@Faith-and-Hope -I can handle short stays of my mother. She's quite narcissistic at times, but she's not a bad person. She has a good heart, but yes, likes the focus on her. I'm grateful to have a relationship with her as we had a very traumatic and fragmented relationship when I was younger. I forgave her many years ago for the physical and emotional abuse but I've come to accept she will not be the ideal mother in my mind, but she's my mother no less. Punishing her serves no purpose but more pain.
She's actually headed over east in a weeks time for an extended holiday catching up with friends and family, so I won't see her for a very long time. She'll do house sitting for much of the time, as she's done for almost 15 years now.
