Twisted -self care
Every morning I drive east into the sun.
At traffic lights I put sunscreen on the backs of my hands.
This morning I realised that this is self care,
Very rare for me.
I need to do more of this....

Well I’ve had a really shitty day....
not happy about my session yesterday,
angry about insensitive @Former-Member ,
it might have been the phone call to say “don’t come today”
It might have been the extreme heat preventing much of a walk.
the unsuccessful attempts at improving my mood with a haircut.
the phone communication difficulties,
the never ending laundry, the back pain, the daughter who came home only to retreat to her room,
the late home partner who is tired, not talking, wants a drink
the dog who wants a walk.... he wins.
shitty day today.....

Hi @Catcakes, sorry to hear that today has been so difficult. It sounds like you have really tried to look after yourself with a walk and improve your mood with a haircut - it's disappointing when our efforts sometimes don't work as well as we'd hoped...what are you up to tonight? Have you got any time at all to yourself amidst the laundry and everything else going on? Sitting with you...

@Catcakes shitty days super super super suck. I've had a superly duperly challenging day today too. Thank goodness there are only three hours left in this day and then we get a brand new one. Good thing we don't live on Venus. If we were on Venus and only 21 hours through the day, we would still have 5811 hours left to go! Yay for not living on Venus!

it,s so hot here, I reckon we could be on one of those really close to the sun planets.

Venus is the second planet from the sun so yep, it would be pretty warm there. Another reason to celebrate not living on Venus!!!! 
Was it super hot where you are again today? It was in the 40s here in my part of Sydney. I am super impressed with how cool my house is though. I only put the air conditioning on when I got home from seeing TTT. I find the fan is enough when I'm sitting at my desk. How has your day been @Catcakes?

It was a lovely day weather wise...27deg.
Other wise.... some positives were that I survived a fasting blood test (hate those), ate my creak in the car then went to physio who is doing wonders for my back pain.
The rest of the day was hard... took Mum to Dr, a little shopping, then meals, washing, packed her up to travel to beach tomorrow.
Feeling upset/angry/frustrated on the way home.
Tricky evening with partner, still need to walk dog....., 😣
