In Isaiah 7 Jesus showed me how religious thinking can never listen, not even after our anointing in the holy Spirit. For each one of us - a person in God's image - are uniquely ourself - yet fully in Him and from Him. As such explains Chapter 7 accurately in light of believers need to get out of socio-religious - be not of the world - and liberated its unholy powers Revelation 18 style, so spiritually we can be transformed Revelation 1-7 living His eternal life as our life.
For i know for sure our spiritual 'virgins' are EXTREMELY important conceiving true 'Emmanuels' in our heart. To me this is what chapter 7 of Isaiah is all about first of all spiritually. For it is placed straight after Isaiah's own calling in chapter 6, and when we read on we can see the prophets own sanctification, even as The word of God was revealed to him by The Spirit in the chapters that follow. In The End the poor man of God died a horrible death at the hand of his own king. As redeemed sinners we know about wrong ruling our good life killed our the truth of good life within.
So when i analyse the situation of the 'social or religious righteous' Isaiah 7 was written, and lay that next our life of religious/social rules like; either must, or only with 'special' permission, or must not, or only with 'special privileges', then we can easily see the 'forces the Word is on about' - our own inner socio-religious inner strife about what is true, always partly joined/supported by powerful yet contemporary outside influences our judgements of ourselves.
i reckon that such is clearest a physical/fleshly addiction - where either - WE HAVE TO and/or WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO. Yet either do not measure up God's FREEDOM psychologically/spiritually as revealed by Jesus. For both 'good' and 'bad' mixed up is The Forbidden Fruit and shapes an ever burning ego taking all for itself the fires it lights in our soul. A life without self control in truth and in love for ourselves in all our wants and needs, not just a big I demanding and craving after good that never satisfies.
For self control applied in love truthfully dies to the selfish demander within - either side of the coin of good and bad within. Yet self control without love only ever feeding our ego has us both taking uncontrollably, unable to stop, or, not allowed to have, our own socio-religious rules of heart and mind.
Nevertheless walking in faith the love and grace our Lord Jesus, in His Spirit, will rebuild our 'bad habits' when we humbly sacrifice our bad life lived - into a self controlled life the truth of His love Alive within us. Such is THE TRUE liberation He speaks about when He says 'when His/The Truth sets you free, you shall be free indeed!'
With Jesus as King of the heart we can enjoy God's goodness without MUST HAVE or FORBIDDEN TO HAVE - to whenever the need/will/desire arises Down Here. For in the love of Jesus we can eat or drink freely, no more driven by fleshly demands and needs but feed our fleshly needs God's goodness when the NEED arises. The Word simply says - our life in the flesh will(begins) serve God. For we enjoy God's goodness, without such goodness being harnessed by a hot noisy egoistic self, to the cost of ourselves in other parts of self. For according to my understanding of God's word to me, the 'little horn' described in Daniel 7 fits the description of a past bloated ego, for we are a victim with a very damaged self-esteem. Yet set free from that once we have been humbled by Jesus, and we in our selfish ego literally get our heads chopped living His Word of loving truth real. Where past selfishness is slowly deactivated by God's truthful love every day more, and we are raised in The Spirit of truthful love who restores our fallen spirit hurting sinful life Down Here.

Goats Ruling Lies Within (Daniel 7:1-14)
.
Oh you he-goats — so strong and cruel,
To dominate and devour your rule
What kingdoms rise beneath your hand,
While others fall at your demand. (Daniel 7:1-3)
.
Let us name you, bring you to light,
So all may see what hides in the night
“For truth revealed breaks hidden chains,
And frees the soul from inward pains. (Matthew 6:23)
.
You — lying tongue, so bold, so sly,
Denying truth when it draws nigh
polluting conscience wrong to obey.
And lead the heart from light to grey. (Daniel 7:4)
.
You — loveless voice, so cold, so near,
Whispering emptiness and fear
Cutting us off from what is true,
Till love no longer carries through. (Daniel 7:5)
.
For lies have cut us from our birth in love,
And left a hunger deep within
So we grasp and take what’s never enough,
And call it life, though bound in sin. (1 John 4:1)
.
This hunger drives the greedy eye,
To claim and hold, to never cease
Yet all it gains still leaves us dry,
And robs the soul of lasting peace. (Daniel 7:6)
.
And so we strive, ever taking more control,
To shape our reality so we can meet our need
Yet in this grasping control of our soul,
We plant again the very selfsame seed. (Matthew 16:25)
.
You — greedy eye, never getting your fill,
Consuming all to be had yet empty still
What once was good in me now fades away,
For all my joy is lost to endless sway. (Proverbs 1:19)
.
And so comes the Dragon — the voice of blame,
The Accuser bringing us our guilt and shame
Binding life and mind with chains unseen,
Where self-judgement burns who we have been. (Daniel 7:7)
.
A guilty conscience rules power to the lie,
for our buried truth will always place us nigh.
Sadly rather than returning to live by grace,
sin has us hide behind false identity's face. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12)
.
(Lament)
.
Oh lawless pride's hot air inflating “I”,
claiming the throne and reaching so high
Proclaiming that big ‘I’ as god and king,
While death is all such rule will bring. (Daniel 7:8)
.
For in this self we lose the right way,
The truth of self we with lies betrayed
Where imprisoned a life so very untrue,
we cut off the very love we once knew. (Jeremiah 50:6)
.
(Conclusion)
.
Yet untrue rule will not always remain,
For Kingdom Come will break the chain
When truth appears and light is known,
These shadows lose their borrowed throne. (Daniel 7:9-11)
.
For when Christ comes — His light made clear,
No lie can stand, no darkness remain near
And all these voices will soon fade away,
Before the rising of His glorious day. (Daniel 7:13-14)
.
The goats who ruled through fear and pride,
Will fall in us as our truth is purified
For with love restored, and falsehood gone,
God shows who we have been in Christ all along. (John 8:32)
