Christian Chat

Christian Chat

Hi my friends, this is Bella here, I thought how nice & lovely to have a Thread for Christians. I am not talking about Religion, GOD is Love, GOD gives free will to us all in the world. I have a relationship with GOD through HIS Word-The Bible, most of my life. I became a Pentecostal Christian many years ago. Would you like to come join me here in this Thread?

I am excited about starting it, you can just sit relax, chat about your love, for GOD & JESUS. Or post encouragement for others. Support, or be supported with Prayer. Hey, would you like to, Praise & post links to Praise & Worship music? Stories, or experiences, poetry, fun things to help us have a giggle, lovely pictures, photos, there are so many things you can post & chat about that will Bless & Build us up in The LORD! Life is about giving, loving, healing flows from a loving heart, whom purely wants to- just give!

I hope & pray, you will receive, Peace, Love, & JOY!... & healing in your heart! Amen xo <>< Bella 🙂

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @Lozenge thanksfor tagging me here.

The clip you included is really good

I didn't think I'd ever say that due to my experience in the hospital

But the concept of mindfulness is in line with Buddhist teachings I've been reading up on.

It's amazing how we can take our minds for granted 😌

Hoping you're well!

Re: Christian Chat

Its good to 'see' you @Lozenge

Hearing your love for your family. Transitions in life can be difficult, but we often struggle through and find where we need to be.

Re the link: haha about the American accent. I did Raj yoga in the 70s, and other Buddhist and Christian contemplative practices, and when DBT emerged, I found it interesting but out of my price range. Go you, if you can run courses.

I used to like these 2, for their accents and their content. lol you might already be aware of them.

A poem that sums up the battles fought within myself with myself over the last 10 days of struggle.

.

Those Deaf In Me

The ones doomed to destruction

are the same ones

not in the image

of the Son of God

even within

our own hearts!

.

They are

antichrists.

Denying Him

your life

to be His.

Even now.

Psalm 19:14 — NIV

“May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.” 🙏

Biblical summary

This is a beautiful prayer of surrender and integrity. David is asking God to shape not only what he says aloud, but also what is happening inside his heart and thoughts. He wants his outward words and inward thoughts to honour God.

Calling God “my Rock” speaks of His strength, stability and faithfulness — the One we can stand securely upon. “My Redeemer” points to the God who rescues, restores and brings us back to Himself.

It’s essentially saying: “Lord, let what I say, think and carry in my heart be pleasing to You. You are the One I can depend on, and the One who saves and restores me.” 💚

Re: Christian Chat

Thank you @heartathome

I have pulled out my theology and pastoral care books. I am grateful I had 3 beautiful conversations today. One with @Dimity and with a pastor and facilitators, in a training, and with a random lady in a congregation, today.

"Intimacy" is by Henri Nouwen who writes from pastoral and psychological perspective. Given the complexities I have had to face, I see a lot of value in the depth and nuance his reflections. I need to be able to make biblical insghts relevant to my life. I doubt I would have survived til now without intelligent and contemporary unpacking of the word and theology. Every "man or woman or child" of God is unique.

We all experience, profess, believe, practice and pray in different ways.

Oh Come, Glorious Judgement!

.

Oh, come, glorious judgement!

Our hour has Come when Jesus is revealed within

His light is us exposes the life we have lived in sin

Christ parts the goats and gathers the Sheep His kin.

.

Oh, come, glorious judgement!

Let Jesus address the lovelessness hurting inside our heart,

His love has the clinging wants of craving hearts depart.

an existence where the rule of decay and death is barred.

.

Oh, come, glorious judgement!

The Lord's Today is The Day overcomers live ecstatic joy,

new life all those hurting or killed by lies now rejoice

For now God's Loving Truth has become our daily choice.

.

Oh, come, glorious judgement!

Bad religion shall never again demand our daily plight.

As pure joy brings the truth of our Mother Zion in sight.

See the glory of His new life put the evil in us to flight.

.

Oh, come, glorious judgement!

Yet Christ's Comings will be the end of all our fears,

In Heaven no sadness will ever again bring us tears.

All humanity harmoniously The Lamb of God reveres.

.

Oh, come, glorious judgement!

Our big I is moved to the rear of the procession

The ego a doorkeeper, not a king as profession

while Jesus prepares His place as our possession.

.

Oh, come, glorious judgement!

In all our life's deeds The Son of God we will meet,

Answerable the harm lies caused life lived in greed

The Spirit of truth has His love inside our hearts beat.

.

Oh, come, glorious judgement!

So all the lies ruling human hearts is rewarded its misery

while all good and loving becomes our glorious eternity

God's love from the terrors of the wicked setting us free!

The Matthew Passion.

I shared this on the music thread, but I think it also deserves to be on this thread. I know the German puts a lot of people off, but I have generally appreciated song and singing in the original language. Though recently we did a Peace choir and "We are Australian" in about 4 languages. lol

@Lozenge @ENKELI @heartathome @DownMoreThanUp and any reading along who care to join in.

I hope everyone is enjoying a blessed day. I had 5 damaged teeth extracted yesterday as well as a filling and didn't sleep well, once the numbing injections wore off I was in a fair bit of pain and woke up at 3am which seems to be the norm for me these days!

I am just about to leave for my EMDR session but wanted to stop by and let you know you're all in my thoughts and prayers.

God bless 🙏🥰💜
