Christian Chat

Hi my friends, this is Bella here, I thought how nice & lovely to have a Thread for Christians. I am not talking about Religion, GOD is Love, GOD gives free will to us all in the world. I have a relationship with GOD through HIS Word-The Bible, most of my life. I became a Pentecostal Christian many years ago. Would you like to come join me here in this Thread?

I am excited about starting it, you can just sit relax, chat about your love, for GOD & JESUS. Or post encouragement for others. Support, or be supported with Prayer. Hey, would you like to, Praise & post links to Praise & Worship music? Stories, or experiences, poetry, fun things to help us have a giggle, lovely pictures, photos, there are so many things you can post & chat about that will Bless & Build us up in The LORD! Life is about giving, loving, healing flows from a loving heart, whom purely wants to- just give!

I hope & pray, you will receive, Peace, Love, & JOY!... & healing in your heart! Amen xo <>< Bella 🙂

Re: Christian Chat

@DownMoreThanUp maybe try Dialectical behavior therapy

It's for borderline personality disorder but it's useful for a lot of things

There's heaps of online resources to look at.... And YouTube videos and podcasts.

@Lozenge Great suggestions. I deliberately reached out to sacred and secular groups in an attempt to find balance. I come from a background of institutional abuse (church and state) so that was my approach. I have to navigate many triggers, but find with the variety it helps me surf the choppy seas and get over them. I am managing.

As a young person I spent a lot of money on counselling etc. Yes, we have to do what we can. I needed it to survive.

Prayers for you all

Yayoi kusama print in Hong Kong.

That one I can relate to with my mental disorder. I feel like I have no one identity and I'm not able to centre. When I go to work or see my bf I just pick one of the faces and try really hard to "be normal" for two hours..then I try and do it again for two hours. Then I like to be in my room by myself

I recently got in trouble in aged care.

I realize how fragile the mind is..there is no way you can protect people if workers are tired or mentally unwell etc, burning out.

If you go to do psychotherapy my recommendation is don't schedule work after the appointment.

The trouble was work is now 24/7 for people in health care. It can be any time. And it can be casual.

And it can be solitary work with no colleagues.

We are having a Korean choir visit. Apparently its popular over there.

not sure how to do a hyperlink

or if people can copy it and look it up in their browser?

@Lozenge Hearing you about needing to bring different aspects of yourself into different situations. I actually think that is pretty normal. Have you heard of the Internal systems approach?

Cos so much happened to me that was not normal.... I am learning to flip the script on the whole notion of normal. It was taken over 60 years tho...lol... I was not a boat rocker...lol

@Realness @heartathome @Shaz51 @DownMoreThanUp and all you are following...

God Bless

My life has been a real roller coaster some of the hardest times in my life these last 6 months. i'm coming to grip with my loss. As a matter of fact i realise it is better so. i have far less issues my mental health on my own than constantly picking up the negative vibes she and others left behind all the time.

i had NO idea so much of my daily struggles, especially 'the voices of madness' in the end, were so closely linked with my wife in hiding than i do now. i have been banning her, and my other loved one's, disapprovals from influencing my heart and mind. i always though i die if she died, but now i see the opposite, i'm beginning to bud out instead. Finding myself BIG TIME. Sadly not back, for i never had the chance to experience my life my own. i'm really beginning to like it. i hadn't seen that coming at all. It looks like Jesus set us both free to find ourselves back. The loss is great, but today it feels i'm going to miss my dog Zeus more when i have to do away with him, than i ever will her hidden displeasures. That were really not that hidden at all, but i had not understood was my true wife, not the illusion of her i had idolised. Hard lessons learned the last 5 months.

Re: Christian Chat

Last night the choir was great

@heartathome @DownMoreThanUp @Realness @Lozenge

They had great programming .... sang songs about the crucifixion and the resurrection and then moved on to much more hopeful songs.

One deep sad hymn was ... Via Dolorosa

It touched me really deeply. Another organist chose to sit with me ...which felt a privilege ... and we both depthed in our feelings and then came up with hope .... and even could move and almost dance a little ... in the

1 Corinthians 16:13 — The Message (MSG)

“Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions, give it all you’ve got, be resolute, and love without stopping.”

Short Bible summary:

Stay alert, stand firm in what you believe, be courageous and strong, and above all, keep loving. God calls us to remain faithful and steadfast, even when life is difficult. 🙏
