@Appleblossom

I would warm up with easy to play classics and then play mostly classical but also pop artists like Billy Joel, Elton John and ABBA. I played all the Beethoven sonatas. I should note that because I started learning late I had and have a heavy touch and am very flexible with tempo. But I had the most wonderful time! God was my audience.

Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Biblical Summary:

Galatians 6:9 encourages us to keep doing what is right, even when we feel tired, discouraged, or don't see immediate results. God sees every act of kindness, faithfulness, and love. In His perfect timing, He will bring a harvest from our perseverance. This verse reminds us to trust God's timing, remain hopeful, and never give up, because our faithfulness is never wasted. 🌿🙏

Ephesians 1:7 (NIV)

"In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace." 🙏

Biblical Summary:

Ephesians 1:7 reminds us that through Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross, we are redeemed—set free from the power and penalty of sin. Our forgiveness is not something we earn, but a gift given because of God's abundant grace, love, and mercy. This verse points us to the priceless gift of salvation found in Christ alone. 💚

Re: Christian Chat

@heartathome Isn't it wonderful? i found when i tried to earn forgiveness it never came neither did sin stop, but when i learned to love Jesus for dying for me and making a hiding place in my heart with Him the sins i had struggled with all fell away His presence. To find shelter underneath His wings, are great words to believe but to live His Truth in His Spirit certainly out does the letter a billion fold. Don't you reckon?

The Living Word Saves

Meeting Jesus in my deepest pit

brought an end to all my inner pain;

Through His love, the Living Word made fit

my heart to live and breathe again.

*

First, like a farmer, He pulled up my weeds,

turned the soil, laid every stone bare;

then gently sowed His life-giving seeds,

tending me with patient, fruitful care.

*

Yes, the Word’s voice in the Spirit of love

drew me near and held me there;

His life now dwelling from heaven above

a living gift He longs to share.

*

So from your pit, rise up and come away;

let Him sow His life within your soul.

Find living truth in Him today

your soul now living whole.

i'm badly triggered by a reply from my son. My day turned out a bit of a disaster although mood wise had felt better. Not sleeping anyhow. Hearing the same thing over and over again. It hurts badly when you know you did your very best, always meant well, but of course it had far from always gone well psychotic in the past.

Then to day the ponds water level regulating valve had packed up. Commercial one do not work. i tried cheap and expensive ones all the same issue. the fine particles from the fish waste in the water stuffs up sealed system that work with moving parts. so i had made my own. However after many months running flawlessly, the surround water plants had stopped it from regulating properly. And me trying to fix this this morning, feeling like shit with a heavy spell of physical unwellness, but forcing myself for it had to be done. For i had only just in time saved the fish and empty pond. we got near one hundred fish in there. The pond is relatively small, about 2000 litres, far to small for so many fish.

Commercial water filters could not keep up, no matter the many times cleaning. So i build my own, just before i become too unwell again. In the winter of last year And it is working great.

Only needs a clean once a year, and is easy as, and apart of a small pump feeding it, and an low voltage ultra violet light to help keep the water clear, it is cheap as to run.

This is why this valve is essential for the correct running of the pond for the filter is higher than the pond so i have to regulate the water flow back in.

However i have been struggling a lot, and have had very little time for my fish, and pond care over the last 5 months. And although i have been extremely happy with it, it is still having small issue her and there, not knowing yet its weaknesses.

Best part was i built cheaper than the cost of a cheap commercial filter, which claims to cater for 6 big or 10 small fish, this one keeps up with almost a hundred.

(and it is safely hidden out of sight.)

My pride and joy.

Lamentations 3:22–23 (ICB)

The Lord's love never ends.

His mercies never stop.

They are new every morning.

Lord, your loyalty is great.

Biblical summary: Every new day is a fresh reminder that God has not given up on us. His love never runs out, His mercy is always available, and His faithfulness remains constant no matter what yesterday held. Each morning is a new beginning with Him. 🙏

Good morning @Realness @DownMoreThanUp @Appleblossom @ENKELI I hope you have a beautiful day! Thinking of you all. 💚

Colossians 3:12 (ICB):

"God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He loves you. So always do these things: Show mercy to others, be kind, humble, gentle, and patient."

Biblical summary: Because God has chosen us and loves us, we are called to reflect His character. Paul encourages believers to treat others with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience—qualities that help build peaceful, loving relationships and honour Christ.

It's a beautiful reminder that our actions toward others flow from knowing we are deeply loved by God. 🙏

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @heartathome , @DownMoreThanUp, @Appleblossom , @Enkeli69 , @Shaz51

My sister's dog is hogging the bed as I write this. She has been staying with us for five nights. I will miss the battle for space tomorrow.

Today I spent time in Matthew 14. Jesus walking on the water. Peter asking Jesus to tell him to come to Him on the water. Jesus says, "Come." Peter, eyes on Jesus, able to take some steps on the water. But then he looks at the wind. He starts to sink.

This story always warms my heart. I imagine myself to be Peter. Can I keep my eyes on Jesus enough to not sink?

Today I had a nice sensation. Despite life feeling somewhat heavy and not being happy with my situation I was floating. I wasn't sinking. I felt light.

A spiritual blessing.

P.S. I have missed everyone and the forums. I think I can now trust their reliability again. Hopefully I can think of meaningful things to write.

Re: Christian Chat

@Realness

As far as I'm concerned you have always shared meaning full things here. Loving Jesus, The word, others His love? What can be more meaningful than have Jesus inside our hearts doing His things?

Even while depressed, love for Him, has good things to say, for The Spirit does not lay down and die. He is the truth of God's love UN killable!

i wrote this poem about that once a long time ago - still true - in much bigger way today! Such is Jesus for you.

His Light Out Of Our Darkness.

_______________________________

Finding Jesus in our darkest night,

is essential to escape the pit,

when despair and godforsakenness reign.

Us hurting the place called the skull,

where the destroyer carries the sceptre,

crucifying our truth with those lies ruling.

Please open your eyes and see,

the darkness is not ever blind,

utter gloom reveals His marvellous light.

For His love overcomes our deepest fall,

see Him riding on His white Horse,

His Sword of Truth restores what's broken.

Please anchor self only in His truth,

let nothing from His love do part,

until fully resurrected on the Last Day.
