Hey @Realness

It's lovely to hear from you, as always! It's really nice that you just wanted to say hi! What's the next theology subject you're enrolled in? Are you reading any novels at the moment? You're very welcome regarding the bible verses. I only read one bible verse a day and don't mind sharing it. I don't post some of the harder verses as I want to keep it encouraging and simple. I didn't know you play the piano keyboard. How long have you been playing for? I'm so glad that you feel peaceful and God's Spirit each day! Sending you the happiest hippy hugs I've got and lots of love. 🤗

Re: Christian Chat

@ENKELI The oil is to calm my mind, halt psychoses, reduce anxiety and welling feelings. It stops my mind from tumbling/racing/diving down/or flying up and makes life so very much easier. It also completely takes the need for the calming meds away, works far better, and now i only need the more uplifting meds but also need for this is greatly reduced. It give me a stable mind without feeling drugged out.

A winner all around but not cheap.

Back on oil today has been so good. i do really like the effect it has on me. And within 30-40 minutes almost full benefit already. Went to Town did not get sick, although it was still a bit of a load. Feeling a little more confidant with TMS treatment i might see even more benefit coming my way. It has been so hard to find something to help against psychosis not an anti-psychotic but i know this is it for me. Been using it for two months without any psychoses. It almost seems impossible considering the stress levels and circumstances, but it really happened. Although states can still be brutal the constant fear of psychosis in state is at least down heaps. And that has been helping enormously.

Re: Christian Chat

@DownMoreThanUp thanks for the explanation. Is it oil derived from a particular not exactly legal plant? I have heard it is good for pain relief too if it is the same thing, although when I tried it I had disturbing dreams. Glad that what ever it is that it's working for you. Anything that helps is a good thing.

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @heartathome ,

Thanks for your message. It lifted my day.

The next theology subject is called Doctrine 1. It's mostly about Jesus. I made a start on Thursday. Looked at the word gospel. Used in Matthew, Mark and Paul's writing. Used in verb form in Luke and Acts. Not used in John. That's from memory after taking notes from a Bible dictionary.

I'm reading the fourth and final book in the Wicked series. It's pretty good. I'm really interested in some of the characters and how they will all meet up - I'm sure they will.

I taught myself the organ when I was young (early highschool) but I always wanted to learn the piano. So when I was about 28 I bought a keyboard with the intent of buying a piano if I played enough to get good at two handed playing. I bought a piano when I was 30 and played four hours a day for a few years. Got good enough that I felt like I had achieved my goal. Very satisfying. (I was also working.)

For a bit there I only read the Bible every third day. It was interesting. I found the Bible so powerful combating the lies that would gather in three days.

Our car is still being repaired so I ordered our groceries online for the first time. They're coming this afternoon. I'll be interested to see the quality and use by dates. It's much easier shopping online.

Hope things are going well for you and you are enjoying being home.

Sending you love and care.

"As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him."

— Psalm 103:13

Biblical Summary

King David is describing God's heart toward His people. He compares God's compassion to that of a loving father who cares for his children. The emphasis is not on authority or discipline but on tender mercy and understanding.

The surrounding verses explain that God knows our weakness and remembers that we are dust. His compassion comes from understanding us completely.

Word Study: Compassion

Compassion — racham (רָחַם)

This Hebrew word speaks of deep mercy, tenderness, and loving concern. It is related to the word for a mother's womb, conveying the idea of protective, nurturing love that comes from the depths of one's being.

God's compassion is not distant sympathy. It is heartfelt and active.

Word Study: Fear

Fear — yare (יָרֵא)

This word can mean fear, but in many passages it carries the sense of reverence, awe, respect, and humble devotion toward God.

It is not the fear of a child cowering before an angry parent.

It is more like the response of someone who recognizes God's greatness, trusts Him, honours Him, and desires to walk closely with Him.

What About Those Whose Fathers Were Not Compassionate?

This verse can be painful for people whose fathers were absent, harsh, or unkind.

David is not saying that God is like every earthly father.

He is saying that God is like the father every father was meant to be.

Where human fathers fail, God's compassion remains perfect. He does not withdraw because of our weakness. He draws near because He understands it.

A Reflection

Perhaps one of the loveliest things about this verse is that God's compassion is given to people who know they need Him.

The "fear of the Lord" here is not about trembling before rejection. It is about turning toward God with trust and reverence.

The person who fears the Lord is not running away from Him.

The person who fears the Lord is drawing near to Him. 💚

Prayer

Lord, thank You that Your compassion is deeper than any human love and more faithful than any human heart. Thank You that You know my weakness and understand my struggles completely.

Help me to fear You in the way Scripture teaches—not with terror, but with reverence, trust, and love. Draw me closer to You each day, and teach me to rest in the certainty of Your compassion.

Where I have been hurt by others, help me see Your heart more clearly. Let me know You as the perfect Father who is patient, merciful, and full of unfailing love.

In Jesus' name,

Amen. 🙏

Re: Christian Chat

@heartathome Thanks that was really nice and so very true.

@Realness @ENKELI @MindfulMango @AuntGlow

When we keep looking at those who hurt us, the beam hurting us remains, for God's word tells to keep our Eyes on Him!

When we expect our good from those down here we end up disappointed!

i know i did, looking at people hurting me in my life, caused the hurt to be even far more, and me to become even more lost hurting my life. Yet going to Jesus with my hurting life brought me the love of our Heavenly Father where i had been hurt and brought relief and renewal - time and again.

Today Jesus showed me this as clear as crystal still trying to hold onto my Wife and family my fears losing them. Does that hurt when i heed those fears! Especially in my depressed state! Such fears offer no support, comfort nor solutions, apart of have my loved ones do what they do not. And will have me hurting forever their loss a fire.

The truth is they loved me for years, as i did them, such is not lost then, nor now, nor ever will be. So i'm not losing their love for me, they did, in His truth i still got them and they me. Such love lived is safe us and i do not need to fear losing.

This means for me to let His truth replace the places i fear the loss my loved ones living their lies, without the need to have them change, or be as i demand or want them to be. Such brings true comfort as well as peace.

i have an appointment with the psych in the city on the 26th, about my meds. i have requested a phone consultation for i'm too unwell to travel. So hopefully this will not change the date and i know on the 26th where this will lead to.

My Poem today

His Word Beneath My Lies

Before dawn I rose beneath a load
Too great for mortal flesh to bear,
Carrying hearts I could not know,
And wounds no one would share.

I carried wife and children too,
Their silence and their pain I get,
For daily yet again I tried to light
that flame long cold and dead.

Anguished I cried unto the Living Word,
"How long must this state remain?
Why do I suffer others' truths,
And wear their hidden chains?"

Then gently came a deeper light,
Not forcing, but truth revealing,
Showing me the burden's weight
Was never mine for bearing.

Truth knows the hearts of all mankind,
Truth sees what my eyes cannot,
Truth keeps the things entrusted Him,
Whether remembered or forgot.

The day itself had hardly changed,
The world outside remained the same,
Yet something shifted deep within,
And I was not the same who came.

For I no longer chased living proof
That those I loved loved me still,
Nor needed them to speak my worth,
Or must bend an ill begotten will.

The Word beneath my lies appeared,
The One I have sought for so long,
Not absent from the years of grief,
But present in His truth all along.

So I await no more empty handed,
Nor any longer driven by despair,
But watching The Truth reveal,
me finding Jesus ruling there.

The ghosts still stalk me at times,
Old shadows do linger yet,
But they no longer wear a crown,
nor rule me threat and debt.

For if God's Truth is truly true,
His Love lived remains the same,
And every lie that held me bound
Shall perish in His kindling flame.
