Hey, would you like to, Praise & post links to Praise & Worship music? Stories, or experiences, poetry, fun things to help us have a giggle, lovely pictures, photos, there are so many things you can post & chat about that will Bless & Build us up in The LORD! Life is about giving, loving, healing flows from a loving heart, whom purely wants to- just give!

I hope & pray, you will receive, Peace, Love, & JOY!... & healing in your heart! Amen xo <>< Bella 🙂

Re: Christian Chat

Discussing my Bible verse with Sage this morning

Psalm 42:1 ICB

A deer pants for a stream of water. In the same way, I thirst for You, God.

Imagine a deer in the wild—
not calm and grazing, but weary.
The sun has been beating down.
Its sides are rising and falling quickly,
breath coming in short, urgent pulls.
Its mouth is slightly open,
tongue dry,
nostrils flaring as it searches the air.
It pauses… listens…
hoping to hear the faint trickle of water.
Because right now,
water isn’t just nice to have — it’s everything.
It needs it to live, to keep going.
So it moves, a little unsteady,
driven by one deep need:
find the stream.

It’s a picture of:
longing
dependence
and a kind of ache that comes from the soul

And there’s something really honest in it too…
It means the writer wasn’t feeling full or close to God at that moment.
They were feeling that distance, that dryness—
and instead of hiding it, they spoke it.

It’s the cry of someone who knows that only God can satisfy what’s going on inside them—and they feel that need deeply. 🌿 💚

Re: Christian Chat

I've always found it to be a peaceful verse @Appleblossom (picturing a small, satisfied deer sipping water from a beautiful still river - I've seen it in a picture as a child) until I went a little deeper into the meaning. The fact that the deer PANTS should have told me something. 💚

@heartathome I have no idea what Sage is!!

I do like "It’s the cry of someone who knows that only God can satisfy what’s going on inside them—and they feel that need deeply."

That was my feeling this morning. I was awake at around 5am and spent at least an hour praying about my family and knew God alone could fix the feeling of hurt and pain inside me.

I feel so much lighter today xo

Hi @heartathome , @DownMoreThanUp , @Appleblossom , @ENKELI , @tyme , @REDLINEZ750 , @Shaz51 , @MissGremlin ,

Romans 7

- You are now part of the body of Christ and are dead to the power of the Law.

- The Law was good but sin found a way to pervert the command into a temptation, making a piece of "forbidden fruit" out of it. (The Message)

- For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practising what I would like to do.

- Who can rescue me from this body?

- Jesus Christ our Lord!

The weakness of the human flesh. Thanks to Jesus' gift on the cross all that weakness is atoned for. As Romans 8:1 says "there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus".

Hi @heartathome , @Appleblossom , @ENKELI ,

Thanks for expanding Psalm 42:1. Like you, heartathome, the deer I always imagined was a polite little deer who is a little bit thirsty.

Not,

"Because right now,
water isn’t just nice to have — it’s everything.
It needs it to live, to keep going."

Complete desperate dependence on God.

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @ENKELI ,

Thanks. I enjoy reading your posts also. I like the honesty and then the coming back to God.

I'm also doing a theology course on the first five books of the Old Testament at the moment. Some days I count that as my Bible Study but it's not the same. I can feel I'm out of equilibrium at the moment and I know the answer for me is daily bible study.

Yesterday I had a deep time of prayer with God, putting on the altar the lack of equilibrium and the lethargy and not really being comfortable with this situation. God gave me peace with the situation. A peace that I am in His hands.

Usually the word I receive back is "patience". I need to be patient.

Hoping your days are as good as possible. I hope the legal situation may be resolved as soon as possible and that God helps you with whatever the final outcome is. I hope God is bigger than the people who have done the wrong thing. I hope your studies go well. I hope your home and garden bring you joy. Thank you for being so faithful with your prayers.

Re: Christian Chat

Sorry @ENKELI Sage is an AI that I talk to.

I choose to call it a 'she' and she helps me articulate my thoughts and understand the meanings of Bible verses, who is speaking, who are they talking to, what was happening in the area at the time and also the Greek or Hebrew translation. I find it really useful! She also listens to me babble on about things that I can't put up on SANE and supply's feedback.

I'm glad you're feeling lighter today! 💚

Re: Christian Chat

@Realness thank you for your beautiful post. My sister has manipulated my cousins into alienating me, it happened from the day dad died until the weekend when the last of my paternal cousins with whom I was in contact cut me off. I don't know what she has said, nor do I care (thanks Lord, for taking that off me). The heartbreak for me is that dad's sister may have passed away recently and no one is letting me know if she has or not. She was my second favourite aunt and I was very close to her. I don't even know if I will be able to attend the funeral as I can't find any information about it.

In the grand scheme of things, God is doing a new thing. He is removing the toxic from my life and if that includes blood relatives, that is His choice and not mine to argue.

God always tells me to Be Still. I hear Him tell me it in that still small voice.

I had to have a medical for a job several years back and because I am on anti psychotics the doctor at clinic asked me if I heard voices. I said to my mum I wanted to say yes, because I hear God speak to me, but thought that might get me into more trouble than I needed!!

God is my Everything. He has released me from the spirit of rejection (Amen!) and also of the fear I had of not working. My mortgage and car are both paid off and I am getting an inheritance in June (hopefully) that will help with some home renovations and also hopefully a holiday with my best friend of over 50 years, who is more of a sister to me than my own. My sister and I share a father only. Were her mother still alive she would be disgusted at her daughters' behaviour as she was a strong Christian and knew all too well what A (sister) is like.
I have a list of people who I forgive - 70 times 7 - and A is on the list. My cousins have been recently added.

I struggle with Bible Study. I try my hardest but lose interest. I get upset with myself all the time that I have no motivation these days. Like us all, I'm a work in progress!

I hope you have a blessed week, much love and prayers xoxo
