Christian Chat

Hi my friends, this is Bella here, I thought how nice & lovely to have a Thread for Christians. I am not talking about Religion, GOD is Love, GOD gives free will to us all in the world. I have a relationship with GOD through HIS Word-The Bible, most of my life. I became a Pentecostal Christian many years ago. Would you like to come join me here in this Thread?

I am excited about starting it, you can just sit relax, chat about your love, for GOD & JESUS. Or post encouragement for others. Support, or be supported with Prayer. Hey, would you like to, Praise & post links to Praise & Worship music? Stories, or experiences, poetry, fun things to help us have a giggle, lovely pictures, photos, there are so many things you can post & chat about that will Bless & Build us up in The LORD! Life is about giving, loving, healing flows from a loving heart, whom purely wants to- just give!

I hope & pray, you will receive, Peace, Love, & JOY!... & healing in your heart! Amen xo <>< Bella 🙂

Re: Christian Chat

@DownMoreThanUp that is really good and insightful reflection to hear 😊.

I have often wondered how is best for me to respond to you/posts if I have concern that you are possibly entering into a psychotic (or less rational and calm? I dont really know what "psychcosis" itself looks like, so i appologise if i use the wrong word!) phase/rage?

Is it better for me to just sit with you through it and let you spill the thoughts?

Or is it better for me to gently and compassionately and lovingly ask if you might be entering a rage and/or psychosis phase? (I could also be totally wrong at times -- hence i would only ever ask *you* what you think, but could be a prompt for a self-reflect check-in??)

Do you have a psychiatrist who helps discuss your medication especially for sleep with? Im wondering if maybe they can figure out a good pattern or mixture of the sleep meds and antihistamines? 🤔

I had a psychiatrist advise me to use an antihistamine for insomnia when i was 14 😊🥰. Worked a charm lol.

My and my wife have been getting much deeper into our issues the last few days, and so far no triggers, but we both have much more insight and understanding about what needs to be done.

However it does tell us that coming back together might be some time yet. Although i pine after my wife for she is my wife, and she pines after me fro she loves me too, we have been breaking free from having to need each other blindly, and where we did Jesus is taken those places up in our hearts, for that is where He should have always been.😚

The good part is that finally i begin to understand the way to healing for us both lays within rediscovering ourselves authentically not illness shaped or forced to be a certain way. This lays at the root of our issues together. Although we are different sides of the same coin we see more and more that we live the same issues in the opposites.

i think i finally begin to understand my wife's issues, and she finally begins to understand my issues, now it is about breaking down those strongholds of trauma between us from years past. So we can move on from there! We both understand this and are fully focused on achieving such a state for ourselves.

For as much as i want my wife back, i do not want her back as things have been, and neither does she want me back i have been. For being apart shows us both how unfair this has been to each other, both of us trying to ignore our hurts because we loved one another, for it never fixed the problems, but over our time and effort keeping the peace, only compounded them,. For not being authentic restricted both of us to be ourselves freely.

This is where change is needed big time.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

“But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” (NKJV)

Key words
πιστός (pistos) – faithful, trustworthy, dependable.
→ Someone who never breaks their promise.

στηρίξει (stērixei) – to establish, strengthen, make firm.
→ Like setting something on solid ground so it cannot fall.

φυλάξει (phylaxei) – to guard, watch over, protect.
→ The word used for a guard keeping watch.

πονηροῦ (ponērou) – the evil one / evil.
Often understood as evil itself or Satan.

The sense Paul meant
“The Lord is completely trustworthy. He will make you strong and stand firm, and He will guard you from evil.” 💜

It’s a very comforting line — especially because Paul the Apostle wrote it while believers were facing pressure and opposition in Thessalonica.

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @heartathome , @DownMoreThanUp , @Appleblossom , @ENKELI , @tyme , @REDLINEZ750 @MissGremlin , @AlwaysMyself , @Shaz51 ,

Acts 27 (and then Acts 28 - the end of Acts)

- Paul sets sail to Rome under the guard of Centurion Julius.

- They safely reach Crete, but winter is approaching.

- Paul warns them to winter at Crete, that there will be much loss if they voyage further.

- Centurion decides to try for a safer winter port.

- Strong winds. Ship driven along. No sun or stars.

- After a long period of fasting, God tells Paul everyone on board will live but they will be stranded on an island.

- Fourteenth night, being driven about in the Adriatic Sea, nearing land, Paul encourages everyone to eat.

- All 276 on board safely make it to land. Ship torn to pieces by waves.

Chapter 28

- The island is Malta.

- The natives build a fire for them.

- Paul is bitten by a snake but is unharmed - natives think Paul is a god.

- Paul heals the father of the chief of the island and then heals the rest who have illnesses.

- Sail to Rome.

- Day Three in Rome - Paul calls the chief men of the Jews together. They haven't heard anything of Paul. They want to hear Paul's beliefs which are spoken against everywhere.

- Paul sets a day and tells them about the kingdom of God and Jesus - both from the Law of Moses and the prophets.

- Paul quotes Isaiah verse at them: "You will always be listening, but never understanding; and you will always be looking, but never perceiving ..."

- Paul tells the the Gentiles will listen.

- Paul stays two years in own rent house (with one soldier guarding him) - welcome all who come to him - free to preach the kingdom of God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The end of Acts. Paul never stops talking about Jesus. May our hearts be able to listen and understand, look and perceive.

What are those words? Greek? Hebrew? @heartathome

Re: Christian Chat

Hey @tyme

The word is in Greek, and the word in brackets is the English translation of the word. 💚
