Christian Chat

Christian Chat

Hi my friends, this is Bella here, I thought how nice & lovely to have a Thread for Christians. I am not talking about Religion, GOD is Love, GOD gives free will to us all in the world. I have a relationship with GOD through HIS Word-The Bible, most of my life. I became a Pentecostal Christian many years ago. Would you like to come join me here in this Thread?

I am excited about starting it, you can just sit relax, chat about your love, for GOD & JESUS. Or post encouragement for others. Support, or be supported with Prayer. Hey, would you like to, Praise & post links to Praise & Worship music? Stories, or experiences, poetry, fun things to help us have a giggle, lovely pictures, photos, there are so many things you can post & chat about that will Bless & Build us up in The LORD! Life is about giving, loving, healing flows from a loving heart, whom purely wants to- just give!

I hope & pray, you will receive, Peace, Love, & JOY!... & healing in your heart! Amen xo <>< Bella 🙂

Re: Christian Chat

Hello lovely, @ENKELI

I just read your post about the conversation with your sister and the heaviness of sitting with the knowledge that your dad is no longer with you... I can only imagine how painful this must be. And the financial aspect of things would be really vulnerable too. I hope being here reminds you that you're not alone, that you're held by your peers, and that we understand the complexities of grief, trauma, and loss.

I know you mentioned your faith here - what prayers or passages help to reconnect you to God in moments like this? 💛

How are you this week @DownMoreThanUp @heartathome @Realness?

Just doing a little check-in before I go. I will be back on Thursday night and can catch up then. 💛

The visit was wonderful. She and our daughter stayed almost 2 hours. Our daughter folded up my washing, for that is her favourite job, while my wife and me talked things through.

(Haven't been this nervous catching up with her than 45 years ago when i asked her out of the first time. We sure had that both in common today.😁

And although it was really hard she her walk away again, i know this is for better. For both of us are far more aware what went wrong and where and what to do about it. My wife's counseling was going slow but she had good hope.

Re: Christian Chat

@AuntGlow Psalm 46:10. God speaks this to me all the time. He simply tells me to "Be still."

My other favourite verse is Hebrews 13:8. (Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever) It is the Four Square Church motto and it was the first Pentecostal church I attended and it holds a lot of great memories for me.

I prayed daily for my dad and he did draw nearer to God for a while but I have no idea if he'd accepted Christ before he died. He was an incredibly selfish man and I have trouble reconciling him with the kind caring person he could be and the horrible deadbeat father he mostly was.

Having that on my mind and then having someone on the forum speak to me like I was trash just triggered me badly and I am still struggling with the perception that this person seems to have gotten away with being a witch to me while I was punished.

When days are tough, I remind myself that I am clinging to the hem Jesus' robe. It's also comforting to know that He is always with me and I just have to, as God tells me, Be Still.

Thanks for sharing @ENKELI . "Be still" is something I need to do more of too.

Such is life!

Hi @ENKELI ,

I love the honesty of your posts.

I love that you hold on to Jesus.

Your commitment and discipline to prayer is inspiring!

I'm sorry to hear there's been a big problem with the inheritance! That hurts big time.

Hi @DownMoreThanUp ,

So good to hear it went well.

Re: Christian Chat

@ENKELI i so agree with you about that. Once a therapist thought it also my dad needed to be rake over the coals, every slanderous word possible he used to so as well. i was furious despite my dad having done me a lot of harm, he himself had also been badly harmed as a kid. For years he did not kow any better, and when he did he stopped his bad behaviours, sadly also visiting his parents. i agree though it has to stop somewhere!

About your dad in Heaven when i read 1 Cor 3:12-16 about that then i know that the good life in your dad is always saved, and rewarded, but that bad life burns of us. i know it has been very true in my life meeting Jesus so i dare hope your dad experienced a similar liberation. And i know for sure you will get on together like it should have always been best, Meeting each other in, and with, Jesus.

Be of good courage.

@DownMoreThanUp it sounds like you're both rebuilding your relationship on a firm foundation. Great news my brother and you sound hopeful which is great.

Hugs and blessings xo

Re: Christian Chat

@Realness honestly, I don't know any different. Praying for me can be the traditional on my knees head bowed or it can be like having a conversation with a beloved friend. Even when I'm mad, depressed or just feeling broken, praying for me is as natural as breathing. I just wish I found Bible study as easy!

I've also changed a lot of what I put in too, ie music, TV and books. I don't remember the last time I read a non Christian book and I'm a prolific reader. Most of my music is contemporary Christian and while I do watch some pretty dodgy shows on TV (like Teen Mom....sorry!) most of my viewing is Christian based. Or true crime but that's a guilty pleasure I've always liked.

Koorong is my favourite store 😍

Dad died in December and it's unlikely we'll receive anything before July. Any money is a bonus and I feel that God is constantly trying to teach me that there is more to life than money. More often than not God gives me just what I need, nothing more.

It would be nice to have been given the amount we should have got but I can't dwell on it if I want my sanity intact. As much as it can be ha ha!
