Christian Chat

Hi my friends, this is Bella here, I thought how nice & lovely to have a Thread for Christians. I am not talking about Religion, GOD is Love, GOD gives free will to us all in the world. I have a relationship with GOD through HIS Word-The Bible, most of my life. I became a Pentecostal Christian many years ago. Would you like to come join me here in this Thread?

I am excited about starting it, you can just sit relax, chat about your love, for GOD & JESUS. Or post encouragement for others. Support, or be supported with Prayer. Hey, would you like to, Praise & post links to Praise & Worship music? Stories, or experiences, poetry, fun things to help us have a giggle, lovely pictures, photos, there are so many things you can post & chat about that will Bless & Build us up in The LORD! Life is about giving, loving, healing flows from a loving heart, whom purely wants to- just give!

I hope & pray, you will receive, Peace, Love, & JOY!... & healing in your heart! Amen xo <>< Bella 🙂

Re: Christian Chat

@ENKELI and @DownMoreThanUp I just had a similar discussion on another thread. Eg., about various betrayals of health profesisonals in fully living up to their responsibilities to their clients.

I am without a proper Gp, and doing my best til I eventually stumble upon one. Yes, praying about it all the time. God probably also wanted me to put 2 and 2 re the medical gaslighting of the ED doctor that I saw on the day my father died. We cant always be sure what is from God, and what is feels good. These people do not get rapped on the knuckles enuff. Understatement!

Sorry not to be cheery, but hope you are all doing as well as possible... gotta serve up butter chicken and LOTS vegies ...

Hi @heartathome , @DownMoreThanUp , @Appleblossom , @ENKELI , @tyme , @MissGremlin , @REDLINEZ750 , @AlwaysMyself ,

Acts 3

- Peter and John are going to the Temple for the hour of prayer at 3pm.

- Peter heals a man lame from birth. "In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk."

- People at the Temple amazed.

- Peter talks to them:

  • God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob ... has glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you handed over ...
  • God raised Him.
  • By faith in His name this man has been made strong.
  • I know you acted in ignorance.
  • In this way God fulfilled what He predicted through all the prophets - His Messiah would suffer.
  • So turn to God! that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that He may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you - even Jesus.
  • Jesus must stay in Heaven until God restores all things.
  • Fulfills Genesis 12:3. "All the families of the earth will be blessed through [Abraham's] offspring.
  • God raised up His Servant and sent Him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your sins.

A miraculous healing. "In the name of Jesus Christ." The response Peter wants: Turn to God that your sins may be forgiven. Notice in the last point that God turns us from ongoing sins - Jesus is doing the active part, our part is more passive. If we can turn to God, God will do the rest!

@Realness "If we can turn to God, God will do the rest!"

Amen seven times over!😂

It is about walking in faith, that is the Spirit of God. For when we walk in The Spirit the will for wrong is gone and loving true has taken its place. 1 John 3:4-9

Walking in the Spirit of truth reveals Jesus within, and among us! Revelation 1:12-20

Hallelujah!🎉

One of their best!

Hi @heartathome , @DownMoreThanUp , @Appleblossom , @ENKELI , @tyme , @MissGremlin , @REDLINEZ750 , @AlwaysMyself ,

Acts 4

Continuing on from Acts 3 - Peter and John are in the Temple after healing a lame man and Peter has just talked to the crowd at the Temple.

- Peter and John arrested by the chief Jews.

- But many believed. Now about 5,000 believers.

- Next day. High priests to Peter and John: "By what power or in what name have you done this?"

- Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, says to the Sanhedrin:

  • We healed the man by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth
  • Whom you crucified and God raised
  • The cornerstone that you rejected
  • "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved."

- The Sanhedrin amazed by Peter's and John's boldness; they were uneducated and untrained men. The Sanhedrin recognise that Peter and John had been with Jesus.

- Because the healed man was still standing with them, and the people were amazed, the Sanhedrin can't charge Peter and John like they want to.

- Sanhedrin meet privately to decide what to do.

- Sanhedrin tell Peter and John not to speak in Jesus' name.

- Peter and John reply: Do you think God wants us to obey you or to obey Him? We can't keep quiet about what we've seen and heard.

- Sanhedrin threaten them again and then release them.

- Peter and John return to the rest of the Lord's followers. They pray: " .... And now, Lord, consider their threats and grant that your servants may speak your word with all boldness, while You stretch out Your hand to heal ... through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus."

- When they had prayed, the place where they were meeting shakes. All are filled with the Holy Spirit.

- Common ownership among the believers. No possessions. No needy persons.

- Barnabas sells land and gives the money to the apostles.

Peter and John can't keep quiet about what they've seen and heard. The power of what they can do in the name of Jesus.

Re: Christian Chat

I'm really glad this thread is a safe and happy space for you @ENKELI 😊.

Thank you for including me in your post, even though I read more than I post here. 😊

My support button also is not working at current on this device lol.

I try not to keep my negative issues with life to my own support-thread(s), or if on someones and they have specifically asked. For me its because I don't want to weigh people down when they are needing a social distraction or just need support themselves without having to feel like they need to give it also to others too. 😊. I know some people do have very limited supports outside of the forum - for a variety of reasons. I am glad they have the forum as a way to talk about this and get support and make social connections too. I know there are some things I feel more able to talk about on the forums than with friends, or that my friends don't have the time to talk much. And of course there are many things that I can only really discuss with my counsellor, doctors, etc too - and sometimes I prefer to not talk to them about the "more mundane" stress/happenings because I want to focus their time on the things I can only talk to them about. 😊 I am very lucky that I have access to money currently to pay for these supports. If I was relying on Government-funded (or free charity provided) services I would only have the drop-in crisis centre which is half an hour away 😥. Not even GPs bulk-bill where I am.

Back to the positive though. 😊🤗😘 I am glad there is this thread too.

Re: Christian Chat

@AlwaysMyself that blasted support button! Mine is working again but who knows when it will stop!

We all post thoughts of sadness and that's what the forums are for, I know. I think what I get emotionally exhausted about is when a person only says the negative things in their lives. There was a person I was close with for a while who every time we chatted she would just be negative, even when I asked what the highlight of her day was. I really felt sad for her and tried to support her as much as possible but in the end I had to walk away because I felt like crying every time we had a conversation. I am by nature a positive person and to have her say "this person said this to me and I was upset" or "this person didn't say hello to me" every conversation we had was too much. Negativity brings you down and it's sad that this person felt there was nothing good in her life to enjoy.

I think why I brought it up is that I saw yet another negative comment she had made and I then read a few other posts on Sane and wanted to say how grateful I am with this thread specifically.

I am thankful to everyone I interact with on a regular basis here in Saneland 😍

@ENKELI *extra hugs*

I did notice x2. I didn't personally have any problem with what was said, just so you know. I hear you.

Take care of yourself tonight hun. I know it's not an easy one for you right now.

I'm not sure what helps you when feelings are "big" or "hard" etc; but if I did I would be gently suggesting something as a friend 😊. I hope MM maybe knows what you need right now? A pat?
