Oh, I'm sorry to hear about your dad @ENKELI . I'm glad you both ended on a good note with each other. Let's hope they don't know anything about your dad passing so they can't get to his money!! You've got a lot going on at the moment!

I can relate to having to get dentures. I had to have most of my teeth taken out (after trauma) about 6 months ago, and it was so emotional for me! It was a big trigger for me and an ugly one at that.

There was so much emotion involved in losing my teeth. It was an absolute trauma for me!

The denture/s are the easy part. It does feel like you've got a mouthful of something for a while You do get used to them though, and it IS better than having no teeth, as I had to for quite a while, waiting on the Government dental clinic! Maybe you can get the new ones that our advertised. No putting in and out or the plate. I guess you're looking into all that. If you feel like crap because of your missing front teeth or partial denture, tag me. I understand! 💛

The days that Christ has walked with me

I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing, but glad you had a good finishing together. Condolences and may he rest in peace. Glad the teeth are finally getting seen to, but guessing you would feel knocked around just from that. Families are so complicated. You have a good excuse to have a lot on your mind. I did wonder how you were, but dont worry about us. Do what you have to do studywise, and healthwise and familywise.

@heartathome I got triggered by the conversations too. Had to step back a bit and do a lot of self regulation. Nobody's fault. Just the way heavy stuff happening feels.

Hi All,

Luke 9 today.

- Jesus sends out the Twelve with authority over all demons and to heal the sick. They are to preach the kingdom of God and bring healing.

- They traveled light! No money, change of clothing or food!

- Jesus feeds 5,000.

- Jesus asks, "Who do people say that I am?" and then "Who do you say that I am?" Peter replies, "The Christ of God!"

- Jesus tells them, "The Son of Man must suffer and be put to death."

- Jesus' command to deny ourself and take up our cross daily, and follow Him.

- "For whoever will save his life shall lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake, shall save it."

- What's the purpose of gaining the whole world if you lose yourself?

- Whoever is ashamed of Jesus and Jesus' words, then Jesus will be ashamed of them when He comes in glory.

- Eight days later, Peter, James, and John witness the transfiguration of Jesus. Moses and Elijah are talking with Jesus on the mountain! A voice from the cloud. "This is My Son! Listen to Him!"

- Next day, Jesus heals a boy from an unclean spirit who the apostles were unable to heal.

- Jesus again tells the apostles he will be delivered into the hands of men.

- The apostles can't comprehend what Jesus is saying.

- Apostles arguing about which of them is the greatest. Jesus upholds a child - the least among you is the greatest.

- Jesus headed for Jerusalem. Almost time for Him to be taken up to heaven.

- A Samaritan village didn't receive Jesus. James and John want to command fire to come down on them like Elisha did. Jesus rebukes them - you don't understand what manner of spirit you are. I came to save people!

- A man says, "I will follow You wherever you go." Jesus' replies: "... Son of Man has no place to lay his head ... Let the dead bury their own dead ... those who look back are unfit for the kingdom of God."

Jesus' teaching is challenging in this chapter. We are really called to hold on to Jesus and let go of the world.
