Re: a new set of problems
Hi there @MDT. What sort of help are you needing? It seems pretty quiet around here just now, but I am here for a little while now if you wish to talk about something.
Perhaps others are around as well? @Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51

Keep things off romantic territory though ..... don't buy her flowers, or take her somewhere very intimate and expensive for dinner ..... or wrap your arm around her to walk along ...... these are all cues to her that you are seriously interested.
That doesn't mean you have to do the opposite and hold her at arms length and clam up ..... cos that will give the impression you don't want to see her again.
Try to just relax and be yourself, and enjoy being in the moment.
How's that ? A little less confusing ?

Hi @MDT. I agree with what @Faith-and-Hope has said, she is a very wise lady our Faith. ![]()
I think you are putting way too much pressure on yourself.
The important thing with any relationship is that it is first and foremost a friendship. Did you enjoy your outing? Were you able to talk with her comfortably? Do you have things in common? Would she be interested in accompanying you to events or places that you both enjoy?
A good friendship need not necessarily develop into a romantic relationship, but it is likely to last. So try to think along those lines. A good friend, without the need for any physical relationship (at least for now), is equally as good at helping you through feelings of loneliness. Because there is less pressure on either of you. Just take things slow and if the feelings are mutual, your relationship will develop over time. Dont raise any unrealistic expectations (of yourself or her), just let her know you enjoy her company (if thats the case?) and that you'd be interested in seeing her again. As Faith said though, keep your outings low-key and non-romantic for now. Just buddies going to events of mutual interest.
Hope that helps? Wishing you the best.
Sherry xx
