Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

It's been a rough day.

Dizziness & nausea - maybe it's due to this virus & secondary infection I've been recovering from.

Or maybe it's the shock & overwhem of having my computer go bung yesterday - which I need to do work casenotes & to use this forum etc.

Then it's all bad news. My brother's mother in law is not expected to live long, due to cancer.

I just found out this afternoon that my closest brother in age has been in hospital emergency for severe effects from an antidepressant medication.

Too much at once. I need my computer for so many work requirements - I don't know if it can be fixed.

@Adge Sometimes it never rains but it pours! You've got so much going on. I think you're right though, the nausea and dizziness can be part of the bug/flu/virus thing. Not having a computer that works really sucks....what did we do without our technology? Being able to communicate online is such a security line for so many of us. Thinking about you today. Sending kind thoughts your way.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I hope I made the best decision, I'm not sure.

My computer's hard drive was busted (probably not repairable). So it would never run again without a new hard drive.

A more thorough & longer lasting option would have been to get a new or replacement computer.

Instead I agreed to get a new hard drive put into the old computer, which is already 7 years old.

The cheapest option - yet I don't know how long it will last (probably another year or two). I cannot be sure if this was the most cost effective thing to do.

It will be money & effort wasted if it breaks down again...

I find it so stressful to deal with unexpected things like this. Maybe everyone else does too - though other people seem to deal with it much better.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I have been feeling rather lonely since my next door neighbour went to hospital with a broken hip and I miss her presence knowing she is going to probably have to go into care. It is a lonely life at times being widowed and I tend to get anxious over this fact. Have a pet cat that is some company but this is not as meaningful as human company. Will try to get out more where possinle as I have several friends who are also widowed. Get anxious joining new things but I expect other people feel the same. Not to let myself become depressed is a major challenge as I feel I still have many years left to offer society as a whole. Don't want pity just understanding of how I feel. Now I've said as much as possible up to date and feel a lot better for getting it out. Bimby2

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

@Bimby2 Thanks for sharing your feelings. Can't say I know what it's like to be widowed and lonely but I do know what it's like to be in a relationship and extremely lonely. Yes, it is difficult to meet new people and try new things, and having depression and anxiety doesn't help. I have a gorgeous little dog and if I'm having a difficult day with people and events, she is the one who makes things worthwhile.

Hi @Bimby2, so glad it's helped you to get that out. I too find that sometimes just writing helps clears things in our mind. With best wishes to you, Maz

I'm struggling a bit. Feeling pretty low. I'm so very alone in the really real. No companion, no friends, no family - except the Center of my Universe who is so very busy and so far away. Something as simple as a Dentist visit, I make so complicated in my head. Loneliness is a form of self-harm. I've built the walls of my bubble so high and so thick I can't see out anymore. Cut away all those negitives and there was nothing left.
